Thoughts on the Mercilon pill

My gynecologist prescribed me Mercilon to delay my period for my wedding. She advised me to start taking it one month before the wedding. However, I’m concerned about the possibility of unexpected heavy bleeding on the wedding day (I have a tiny uterine fibroid that bothers me as well). Because of this, I’m considering asking her if I can start taking it three months earlier to give my body more time to adjust. What are your experiences with Mercilon? Did you have any heavy bleeding between periods? Did it affect your ability to get pregnant?

Thanks in advance!
