Hi, I've been running the pill back to back for a year and a half, with only a few breakthrough bleeds. I'm having a break now as I don't want any more breakthrough bleeds for a while. Will I get my period as usual or have I been running the packs back to back so long i won't get one? I'm on mercilon pill.

Hi, did you get your natural period after stopping the pill yet? Sometimes it can take a while for your natural hormone cycle to resume after being on the pill. Technically, when your period does return it should be normal, as having your period requires your hormones to reach certain levels in order to complete a cycle. If you have any other questions, I'm happy to help!

Well wishes,

Liz
