Sickle Cell Trait and menstrual cycle
For years I suffered from fainting and blackouts right before or during my periods. I recently met another woman who had a similar experience and she mentioned that it was because she has the sickle cell trait. I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

Generosity
I’m doing the worlds greatest shave here in Australia for my husband and all you CLLers. The generosity of people- especially in light of the drought and bushfire appeals - is astounding. $4,000 in 2 weeks. The Leukaemia Foundation is aiming for zero deaths from blood cancer by 2035. It sure feels achievable

Life with ET
I am the person flying through the air. At 39 I discovered I had ET (CALR). I also started Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Almost 4 years later I still have ET and I take 2 pills of Hydroxyurea 5 days per week. Today I received my purple belt. The test was two hours of nonstop movement and grappling. My point

Any Experience with Tocilizumab and GCA?
I am reading that it may reduce the likelihood of relapse and can reduce the long term dosage of Prednisone. Has anyone had experience with it, good or bad?

Losing weight with Viagra.
A woman asks her husband at breakfast time, "Would you like some bacon and eggs, a slice of toast and maybe some grapefruit juice and coffee?" He declines. "Thanks for asking but I'm not hungry right now. It's this Viagra," he says. "It's really taken the edge off my appetite." At lunchtime, she asks

Functional doctor checking everything!
I posted here before about my suspected low B12 and my experience with my unsympathetic GP. I visited my consultant who was also not interested in listening to me. In fact he was taking blood while I was telling him I was sure I was low in B12 again and he didn't bother to even check it even though I

Hi I am 79 and have been diagnosed with MF. Blood tests have confirmed I have the following mutations EZH2 x 2, ASXL1, ETV6 in addition to Jak2. I am currently under the care of Prof Harrison at Guys, and she states these mutations make me a high risk patient. I am not experiencing any symptoms apart
