If people knew... what Parkinson's is.
If people knew how hard, how very hard Parkinson's can be, it would help us spread this information. Okay, not all of it, but not even vitamin B9 to control the neurotoxic homocysteine, just the right amount of vitamin B6 in 10-25 mg per day as indicated in the levodopa prospectus, or vitamin D to prevent

Can anyone help me with blood results?
I hope someone can make some sense of my bloods as have just got off phone with Endo and been told they are perfect..... I do not believe they are and the main consideration is I feel dreadful. He says I am in fact overmedicated (Levo))which is certainly not true. My T4 has been on a downward trajectory

Magnesium and ectopics
Hi Potter, I started taking magnesium three months ago for a chronic pain condition. Reading other posts it looks like I’m taking the wrong one for heart function support as I’m taking magnesium oxide so I’m going to change over. I occasionally get sharp fleeting pain in the centre of my chest when

Waters breaking at 30 weeks (PPROM) - twins
Never out of the woods with this "journey"! Ugh, can't sit back and relax for one moment and think it's all safe. On Wednesday my waters broke. Quite a bit earlier than expected! Called the maternity assessment centre who checked me over and confirmed my waters had broke and my cervix was open 1cm, and

Eli Needs a little advice
I'm new here, have had hypothyroid for about 6 years ,female and 69 years of age, usually fit for my years. About 6 weeks ago went to GP as feeling body was feeling jangly and couldn't sleep .Dr advised it was anxiety which I had never had in my life. Never asked about thyroid or said he would take

Leg aches, causes?
Hello all... Right, I'm having a new issue that's started over the last month or so. While running, or should I say trying to run I'm getting pain in my legs, it usually doesn't start right away, maybe after a mile or so. It's kind of like a combination of regular muscle burning and cramp, it almost

Lime in water
Hi all, I have been taking calcium but don't like doing so, and need magnesium as a consequence too. But now I have reduced to 2mg and I have my own well with lots of lime (CaCO3) in it. I was thinking that getting it all the tea I drink, several cups, several times a day may be enough. I have to keep

Alendronic Acid 2 years on.
I said I'd write this post as it may or may not help anyone considering taking this medication to make a decision. I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis in 2016, having being diagnosed coeliac in 2015. My t score at the time was -2.5 in my Spine. I also had osteopenia in my hips. I was advised then to go

Is Parkinson's disease a lifestyle disease? 1. Parkinsonian lifestyle (higher risk).
(Excerpt from the book I am writing now. I hope you find it useful). Is Parkinson's disease a lifestyle disease? 1. Parkinsonian style (increased risk of developing the disease) I have less and less doubts about the existence of a "Parkinsonian" way of life, which predisposes and increases the risk

Clopidrogel and vitamins
Is it safe to take vitamin k2 with Clopidrogel? Does Vit k2 affect clotting like Vit K1 does? I know you have to be careful with Vit k with warfin. I take k2 with my Vit D3 & magnesium ... I thought Vit k2 was essential for getting calcium into the bones. But don’t want to take it if it is going to

Leg cramps during/after ADT.
Perhaps unrelated? I am curious to see if anyone else has this issue. After radiation treatment (no surgery) I was treated with Lupron for 2 years. About halfway through, besides the normal side effects, I developed leg cramps during exercise, even a short walk. Calcium and Magnesium levels are normal

My Blood Sugar Readings today !
My fasting blood sugar was hovering around 78- 90 for the last two months. I had posted my last HBA1C as 5.8 a month back- if you recall my post in this forum. A couple of days back when I consulted my Endo , he advised that 78-85 is low for me if I desire to gain some healthy weight ....also to avoid

Liothyronine trial update
5 weeks into my T3 trial and sadly, it’s not been beneficial so far. I don’t feel any better. (In fact my health is awful- but I’m putting it down to lockdown blues/inactivity/crap diet) but it’s a catch 22 situation. I feel so terribly low in mood, so not eating the best, joints are painful so exercise
