hello all, I’m still on my journey, trying to get my levels at the right spot for me. I’ve just had a further increase of levothyroxine to 75 mcgs, much to the doctors dismay. They didn’t want to increase my dose and insisted they only increase after blood test show it’s needed. I have taken all your

Taking a magnesium supplement - any dependencies with other drugs?
After some research I have decided to add a magnesium supplement, to hopefully help with the muscle weakness in my legs. I’ve now got the supplement, but am not certain whether I need to take my dose at a particular time of day for best effect, or not take it with any of my other drugs. The others I

Magnesium for RLS
Merry Christmas! While I've said the below in various Replies, I thought I'd put it in a post. I've been taking at least 400mg a day of magnesium citrate for some years now, since I had it recommended to me by a relative: 600mg a day initially stopped my RLS within days, and 400mg a day (the amount suggested

Blood results from Rant thread
I had most of the results back today. The GP is a "registrar" and undergoing training in a speciality. He should choose something not customer facing! Apparently the Magnesium, Creatinine and something else was "broken". There was only one tube of blood so it happened in the lab... They want me to

Rocky start onto Cape- hoping to leave as planned for NZ in just 3 weeks-Need Help
Last week started on cape after dec 19th abdominal Ct scan for surgery the next day turned up cancer spread to liver and throughout. Lobular was so sneaky that the regular PET scan just weeks before was reported out stable. So for Xmas, I quickly switched from Verzenio to Cape. They mailed it to me

My husband's mom had PD. My husband is showing signs as well - lost smell/taste, mental/ behavioral changes, sleep problems, depression, memory loss, fatigue. tremors and muscle stiffness. Statins
Apologies, this is a very long post! Statins are known by members of this forum to trigger/exacerbate RLS, although the NHS doesn’t formally recognise this. Water additives
Just another one of my curious questions… As I’m sipping on the last half of my first liter of water for the day I was wondering whether there are any additives you put in your water for health reasons? Just something to aid in or improve your overall health. I drink at least 2 liters a day and don

Serum Magnesium Levels - What level are those with AF on the Forum aiming for?
My April 2022 blood tests returned a serum magnesium level of 1.1 nmol/L. (Normal given as 0.7-1.0) And one constant on the Forum is members recommending Magnesium supplementation, reinforced by medical experts saying the same. My question however is what actual level (in nmol/L) are members who supplement

HRT and RLS
Hello everyone, Just wanted some advice please. I have been able to reduce my dosage of Ropinirole to 1.5mg with the unexpected help of HRT. I would like to reduce further and although I need to up the HRT dose, which may help. I am considering trying Magnesium. Any advice would as always be gratefully
