Fetal chromosomal abnormality
Hi, I'm almost 17 weeks. About a week ago I had amnio after I had a positive result for XYY extra sex chromosome from the NIPT screening blood test. A day after the amnio procedure I got the preliminary Fish result which was consistent with the NIPT showing XYY. It might take another week to get the

Feeling excited about finding a cure for my RLS without meds!!
Good day to all!! I have amazing news. For the first time in forever, if not ever, I have had complete relief of my RLS symptoms when going to bed. Last night, was night number 12. Prior to bed, I did have a few flair ups a couple times, but I just got up and did something, it was day time.. Now my

Bacterial overgrowth in gut/intestines question
Hello all (Quick background) Diagnosed Limited Cutaneous Systemic Sclerosis and Secondary Raynauds. Saw my rheumatologist today and spoke about my worsening GI symptoms, she suspects bacterial overgrowth in gut/intestines. Just wondering if anyone could shed any light on this? What treatments are available

What's working for me, at least sort of
I say "at least sort of" because it's a case of nightly trial and error. But here's what I'm pinning my hopes on right now: 2 hours before I hope to go to sleep, I take a 100 mg capsule of medicinal grade CBD, along with 1 capsule of L-Theanine (I'm unsure of the mg.) and a 400 mg. tablet of magnesium

Sick again
I have a stinker of a cold again. The mepo and the pred are wonderful at suppressing the immune system. My youngest is at nusery - he has trisomy 21 and his immune system is not great. He picks bugs up and gives them to me. Before christmas I needed three courses of antibiotics to get rid of a chest

Some humour re doctors from my family.
Not sure if anyone with appreciate my mothers humour as much as I do but I thought I would share it just incase anyone else might find it funny. She was a children nurse and when I started psychiatric nursing you used to phone me up with advice on how to manage doctors. Here is an example 'Darling I

Pramipexole side effects
I've been on 2 x 0.88 Pramipexole for 6 months having spent all my adult life (I'm now almost 60) feeling tired during the day and very gradually getting RLS. I use a CPAP machine for central apnoeas, and then a sleep study showed that RLS/periodic limb movement was repeatedly waking me in the night.

Almost 2 weeks without pramipexerol. I'm taking lyrica 300 mg with 5 mg of oxycodone as a back- up. My question is can you have augmentation from lyrica? If so, how can I tell if it's the Lyrica that I'm augmenting from or if I'm still getting rid of the pramipexole in my system? I have frequent bad

Could it be that I've changed my antidepressent to morning?
I've just realised that I still feel a bit out of it this morning and it couldn't possibly be from taking that one dose of Amitriptyline 36 hours ago. Then I remembered I've also changed taking my Citalopram 10mg from nighttime to morning, as my nurse said the Citalopram can cause insomnia. But it can

Clomid
Prior to miscarriages my periods were regular and tests showed I was ovulating. After my 2nd miscarriage my periods have been irregular for 7 months. I have been prescribed clomid. However, I have first IVF appointment in March. Should I give clomid a try or just wait for IVF?

Parkinson's unusual 'off' times. Wearing off begins, but medication kicks back in before taking next pill.
My Mom was diagnosed a few years ago with PD, but it has progressed a lot in the past year. She got into a stable routine with C-L(25-100), although she experiences 'off times' or as she calls it 'slow downs' two hours after each pill. The strange thing is that it goes away after 45 minutes-1 hour, without
