Hypermobile EDS??

I have irritated vessels in the whites of my eye. I remember discussing it with my optometrist years ago, I can't remember what he called it. we just keep an eye (no pun intended) on it!
No one has ever said I sleep with my eyes partially open, but I do know that people sometimes have their eyes half open during REM sleep.
Sleeping with your eyes partially open is symptomatic of hEDS. My diagnosed family members do that during all stages of sleep. The irritated vessels might indicate Vasculitis also related to EDS or might be from Sjögren disease which many people with EDS seem to have. The primary symptom is dry eyes, hence red irritated bloodshot sclera. Suffers usually also have dry mouth, nose, and other symptoms. Your opthamologist can test for it with a simple tear test.
I have been diagnosed with hEDS and sleep with my eyes open often. It freaks my friends and bedfellows out as they say I look dead and had to check if I was still breathing. I also have blueish scelera. I also get red irritated blood vessels but I wear contacts all the time so it is probably that.
