Buprenorphine Naloxone dose
Hello again! I have had RLS for most of my life. I was taking 6mg Pramipexol per day until given better advice here on the site. I used 100 MG of Tramadol per day and in 18 months managed to cut down to .25mg Pramipexol. Then I got stuck and couldn't cut down any more. I found a Neurologist who prescribed

Carnivore diet and ketogenic diet is reportedly reversing many conditions. Can we heal our bodies with our diets.
I do not know if I actually have restless legs syn drome, but for years I have had involuntary leg movements every day, all day. I have jerking and muscle tension that is very uncomfortable and exhausting. I am not certain if it is the side effects of restoril, I take to sleep, or temazapam, that was

Perspective: The High-Folate–Low-Vitamin B-12 Interaction Is a Novel Cause of Vitamin B-12 Depletion with a Specific Etiology—A Hypothesis
Note: This paper is presented by its own authors as a hypothesis rather than a wholly proved and accepted theory. However, excess folic acid has been identified as an issue many times. Typically, a GP prescribes 5 milligram doses, every day, and the patient continues taking that indefinitely

COPD and RLS

What to take after Methadone
I have been on Methadone for about 3 years and though it works well the constipation was so bad, I finally came off of Methadone and want to go on a drug that isn't an opiod. Does anyone have any suggestion. Been on requip, Mirapex, gabapentin and wondering what will work? I just cracked my femur

Methadone vs buprenorphine/naloxone
Hello all. I am in the "fortunate" position of being offered either methadone or Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) for my refractory RLS. I have been taking a very low dose of methadone --1/4 of a 5mg tab once daily--for only 3-1/2 weeks and I fall asleep quickly and sleep uninterrupted about 5

I added Mucinex to my list of DO NOT TAKE over the counter meds.
Well, I finally got IT... yes, covid. My husband came home with it and four days later I came down with it. I was trying to get ahead of it by taking Mucinex the second night so I could prevent it spreading into my lungs as much as possible. My whole body jerked and thrashed all night long plus I

Great RLS & Augmentation Articles (all available as PDFs)
I thought I’d share several articles that give, as far as I can tell, the best, evidence-based guidance for RLS and PLMD treatment + augmentation info. which can all be invaluable tools for understanding RLS, PLMD and augmentation. Note some of the authors names. 1)

Pramipexole vacations
I am currently completely off Pramipexole for 7 months, after being on it for 6 years. It was the only medication that gave me excellent relief and no side effects, except one sudden episode of augmentation . All the augmentation symptoms have resolved, but the symptoms of course are daily and last

Muscles in lower back all rigid and locked up
Hi, the muscles around my lower back have been locked up for a few weeks now. I find using an electric blanket has helped. I also use "winter green' (methyl salicylate) sports rub, with limited effect. Taking a couple of Ibuprofen and a co-codamol help too, but it's still very immobile and limits

A brief respite and now back with a vengeance
I suffer from restless legs syndrome and was prescribed pramipexole. I started a reduction program several months ago and by September I was down to half a tablet today. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to have a mastectomy 3 moths ago. Unbeknown to me the surgery temporarily raised my ferritin

Thought of the day - B12 paradox
Like many aspects of life that we're all trying to grapple with, good health comes from a very fine balance. There is no 'one way' to do things, but a sweet spot in the middle. And I believe it's the same with diet, in particular B12. B12 is a regulator of homocysteine. Low B12 is a driver for high
