Chemo done..scans tonight
I finished BR in May and the doctors at both OSU and Cleveland Clinic say I did "spectacular". My numbers are perfect. I'm having a full body scan today at Cleveland Clinic to see if there is anything still enlarged inside. The dr says that sometimes people can have great numbers but still have issues

Something New
Well this is new to me. I know my lymphoma is active, but I just started having chills and jerking my shoulders, and now my calf muscles are aching. My voice is weak and the lymph nodes in my groin are aching. Is this normal?

What to do?
Hi all, I have a decision to make and would like your feedback. I read the posts regularly but don't post much. So, I was diagnosed with CLL last year 6/15 at age 65 (though I suspect it really started around 2009 when I had a slightly elevated absolute lymphocyte count and a swollen lymph node in

WHO?
The 2016 revision of the World Health Organization (WHO) classification of lymphoid neoplasms is coming soon... and CLL/SLL is still a lymphoma. There are a number of changes particularly to MBL, which is now considered a precursor to CLL, in virtually all cases... but is subdivided in to high and low

Do Mobile/Cell phones cause brain cancer?
With a CLL diagnosis, our increased risk secondary cancers becomes a concern. So understandably, many of us look at what we can do to reduce our risk of developing secondary cancers. This article by Simon Chapman, Emeritus Professor in Public Health, University of Sydney may prove reassuring to anyone

My success with Imbruvica (ibrutinib
I've posted before that for almost all of 2015 I was treated for ITB. My platelet counts ranged up and down from 2 to 50 all year. In December I switched to another doctor and he did a bone marrow biopsy and told me on Christmas Eve that I have CLL. He immediately started me on FCR, but after two

Stick or Twist...Not Really.
Hi, PaulaS suggested that I write and let people who know me on here know how I'm doing. She suggested it quite a long time ago, but I didn't know how I was doing until today. I have just had the consultation post chemotherapy and have been told that I have achieved full remission, which is good news

The placebo and the nocebo effect and the ethics of pacebo use.

Scleroderma and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma
My mum was diagnosed with scleroderma 18 months ago - it's confined to her (very tight) skin and her symptoms are very cold hands and feet and lack of energy/can't walk far. Just before Christmas she was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma in her neck for which she's nearly completed chemotherapy treatment

I was dx 4 years ago with Cll at 48 and had a quadruple bypass last year. Blood thinners?
A quick question. As I am taking blood thinners, could this affect me going on a clinical trial in the future?

My husband has his 6th round of BR chemotherapy this week...I'm wondering what happens now? Do we just go away and wait for the CLL to return?
