Update on mum
Appointment as expected. Results stage 4 cancer that has spread to pleura. Only option is chemo and clinical trial. Not positive for EGFR or ALK. The only genetic testing they do in uk. Other countries way ahead and do more genetic tests but probably too costly here and no drugs licensed to treat other

Diagnosed at 43
Hello, my name is Dionne. I have had severe uncontrolled asthma since I was 28yrs old. In 2013 I was diagnosed with Emphysema. I don't need oxygen therapy because of air trapping, instead I use 5 inhalers (Advir, Quvar, Spiriva, Atrovent,& ProAir). I also have to take 10-20mg of Prednisone daily

Fighting to Survive
I was recently diagnosed with stage 4 non small cell lung cancer. I must admit that it is still shocking myself and family and friends. I am 44 years old and I'm just not ready to go anywhere. I am hoping that through this site and all my outside support along with God that I find the strength I need

New here
I have had my bottom right lobe removed due to non small cell lung cancer and a blood clot on July 1, 2015. I am still in pain from the surgery and it still hurts my lung to breathe. It hurts so badly... Does anyone else have this issue?

RAI or not? Please need to decide today
I've been thinking about this for a week and today is my deadline, I'm going crazy! Lobectomy October 2015: two tumors in thyroid, biggest was 6,5 cm! One outside thyroid in what appears to be a lymph node but it's actually not. I know weird, it took them a year to decide whether it's a lymph node or

Lung transplant referral 1st appointment
Two weeks ago my consultant told me that my % had dropped 10% to just below 30%. That my ct scan was clear but copd and my echocardiogram was clear but I wasn't suitable for coils. That because I haven't smoked for 3yrs I thought I was alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency person because no control even on

Chemo advice
Had stage two lobectomy - 5cm removed in Feb and good recovery . Suggested chemo as belts and braces but 4 days after first session developed tinnitus. Saw doctor today and was told this is a common side effect and is irreversible worsening with treatment . I'm at a loss to know what to do its pretty
