Losartan
I was given this drug for my Blood pressure 14mths ago by the Hospital with no ill effects, November last year it was altered to ones that included Lactose. Unfortunately I have been Lactose intolerant for over 25 yrs, and within days my legs were like balloons and I was very unwell. For the last 4 mths

Propranolol (Beta-blocker) withdrawal side effects
Hi About a month ago I was swapped from Propranolol/Bedranol 80mg (1 per day) to Losartan. When I started taking this pill it obviously lowered by resting heart rate to a consistent level of 58/59 BPM. However, this was not much of a lowering, I would have expected my resting heart rate to be less

Anyone had success with Tadalafil for treating severe Raynauds?
Hello all I have Systemic Sclerosis and Secondary Raynauds. Have tried (all separately) Nifedipine, Losartan 75mg, then Sildenfil, GTN patches, combined Losartan and Fluoxetine all with NO success. Professor Denton has mentioned that I am a candidate for Tadalifil. Just wondering if anyone has had success

Vitamin supplements
I’ve been thinking I probably need to take some extra vitamins — what do most of you take to help balance things out with Pred ? I’m currently on 10mg Prednisolone and the only other meds I take are Losartan and Amlodipine for high BP. I’m considering calcium, Vitamin D, B12, magnesium?

Changes in support.
I've not been a patient long but having the heart failure nurses over the last 9 months has been such a help even though I only saw them every 6 weeks. I assumed that the support would continue as I am a heart failure patient. So at the end of the last appointment the nurse said she would see me in 2

First Post: MCTD and Raynaud's
Hi, new here and am enjoying reading others' posts! Got a very recent diagnosis of MCTD with lupus-like features and secondary Raynaud's. I have a pretty mild case so far but have had some serious recurring bouts of something like flu. About to go to Royal Free for a five-day outpatient iloprost infusion

Tinnitus and hearing deterioration
And here is my second question although I think I’m clutching at straws here! My hearing was getting worse (age related, sadly) a few years before I started on my AF journey but over the past year/18 months the tinnitus and gradual worsening has accelerated to an extent where the ENT consultant sent

Losartan and dizziness.
I am currently taking Furisemide 80mg, Losartan 50mg,daily and Apixaban 5mg twice daily for heart failure. I sleep well but 30 to 60 minutes after waking I have severe dizziness and have to lie down for a hour. Any suggestions?

I can't cry or shed tears!
Hello Everyone, I have a great concern about my eyes. I can't seem to cry at all or shed any tears! That worries me so much! I used to be able tp cru when I felt the need to do so but now I can't. My eyes seem dry...very dry! I didn't have this problem until I started taking and stopping that beta blocker

Severe all over itching, like bites and stings
On bisoprolol, losartan and diuretics for heart failure, can't sleep at night for stabbing like itching, never stops. Is it likely to be bisoprolol causing this, any suggestions for alternative beta-blocker?

Losartan
I have just read on the internet that losartan 25mgs nd 100mgs is being recalled as it has been discovered during tests that it contains a cancer forming ingredient. Has anyone heard about this as I am very concerned as this is one of the pills I take. Thank you https://www.smalljoys.tv/blood-pressure-drug-recalled

Overcoming high blood pressure
I have been diagnosed with hypertension in 2013 in Poland and put on tablets however I live in the UK and my doctor here did not want to hear that this was needed. I guess I had some stress in my life in that time. The Polish doctor prescribed me the blood pressure tablets called Lorista or Losartan
