I’ve been thinking I probably need to take some extra vitamins — what do most of you take to help balance things out with Pred ? I’m currently on 10mg Prednisolone and the only other meds I take are Losartan and Amlodipine for high BP. I’m considering calcium, Vitamin D, B12, magnesium?

Vitamin supplements
You do need calcium and vit D - but you also need them checked first to be sure you don't take too much/too little. Personally I wouldn't take magnesium unless I had muscle cramps - and too much is likely to lead to gut upsets. And I'd also ask to have my B12 checked first. It is very unusual to be deficient unless you have a poor diet or pernicious anaemia. And actually - that applies to most things. Look at your diet before buying artifical supplements - the body prefers the real deal.
Hi
You should have been prescribed a VitD/Calcium supplement alongside Pred from the outset.
Advice us to take VitK2 to help the absorption of the supplement. Many also take magnesium.
Sure you will get plenty of advice from others with their “favourites “

I made it through my 2 years + with magnesium, vit K2, zinc, d, b12 methol, and turmeric faithfully almost everyday. Will probably continue! Swear by them!
I have osteopenia so I take calcium with vit D, magnesium (helps with foot cramps), vit K2, turmeric paste and Nordic fish oil. I eat a healthy diet also but I did that before PMR arrived.
I take omega 3 fish oil supplement and a multivitamin. The multivitamin is because of IBS and have taken this all my adult life. I try to eat a balanced diet but some foods simply don't agree with me.
