Post Cardiac Ablation
Can someone advise me please. I had a cardiac ablation around 7 years ago which was successful. However now I have an odd heart rate, sometimes is 40 beats a minute during the day and sometimes up to 180. My GP has put me on Losartan for Hypertension which has made me feel awful and gain weight. Surely

Issues with losartan?
I’ve been taking losartan 25mg for about 5 weeks now. Around the 2nd week I started to get nausea and a little dizziness. This week has been rough, pounding pressure headache, pulsating pressure in my ears, dizziness whilst doing nothing, a tingling/ numbness in one hand and frequent urination, far more

How long before upped dose takes effect.
I'm 61 in very good health, attend the gym 4 days a week, 30 mins cardio followed by 40 mins on weights, my cardio function is very good, fast recovery rate. I've a good balance diet, no weight issues. I've been on 50mg losartan for a few years now, had a check 2 weeks ago and my reading was 170/100

Not sure if it's lupus
I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, stenosis, bruised spinal cord c-4, degenerative disc disease entire spine, fatty liver and I don't drink, just obese entire life but reducing. I'm taking gabapenten but talc is one of the ingredients. Taking 300 mg morning and night. Doctor wants me to take more

New to this AF nightmare!
Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and AF. I had emergency cardioversion (the electric shock thing) on 29 May after being taken ill at work. I'm 59 and have been feeling immensely stressed and exhausted in my job, but ironically was on my first day back at work after 2 weeks holiday. I must confess

Valsartan shortage
Anyone else having a problem getting hold of Valsartan 160mg from their pharmacy? Mine has been trying for a week. Wholesalers in South East all out. Anyone had to change to something else instead. I was thinking I’d ask for Losartan which Ive had in the past.

When to take losartan
I have just been prescribed losartan. When is the best time to take it? My chemist said it should be taken in the morning, but I read that it can be taken any time of day.

Advice continually changing!
I’m just so overwhelmed right now, I got to see a cardiologist today 3 months after stents, I was naturally extremely nervous and grateful as the GPS and cardiac nurses would not listen or deal with my medication concerns without cardiologist approval. So of course my BP was high, I explained I take

Recently diagnosed. Confused and concerned.
I was diagnosed with late onset Raynaud and Scleroderma in November 2018. This was as a result of a blood test taken by my GP in June when I was unwell and she couldn’t find the cause so literally ticked every box and the results came back that I had slightly raised levels of Centromere antibody. I

Weight gain post heart attack
Good morning everyone. Has anyone put on weight after their heart attack? Have your taste buds changed? Yes to both for me I’m afraid. Is it the meds? It can’t be lack of movement as I try to keep on the go as much as possible but I do seam to be eating some real rubbish lately (comfort eating I think

ALLOPATHY COMBINED WITH AYURVEDA IN DCM
Respected and dear colleagues, Pursuant to fluid restriction and continous use of diuretics (spironolactone plus toresemide 10 mg daily) my creatinine levels are up upto 1.9. My cardiologist has relaxed the fluid restriction from 1 litre to 1.5 litres daily and had discontinued losartan with potassium
