Bisoprolol 2.5 for high BP & to prevent migraine
Hi, I'm new here but would appreciate any comments especially if you use B to prevent migraines? I've been put on bisoprolol 2.5 to lower my BP but also to prevent migraines. Previously I was on propranolol 80 (beta blocker) for years and it had been preventing my migraines successfully, but recently

Losartan and insomnia
Hi All, I have been taking losartan (not for BP reduction but for its function in reducing protein leakage) and as soon as I take it I become an insomniac instantly! I normally fall asleep within minutes and sleep through but on Losartan it takes me hours to wind down, after I've cleaned all the house

Visual disturbances at night.
I take Sotalol (for PAF) and Losartan (for blood pressure). Sotalol lists “visual disturbances” as a side effect and Losartan has “sleep disturbance”. I notice that when I go to sleep and my eyes are closed sometimes there is, intermittently (occurring say every 3 minutes or so) a visual disturbance

Health Update - Massive Drop in eGFR
My latest lab results: ACR = 27.5, increased from 18.1 six months ago. GFR = 88, decreased from 103 six months ago. Creatinine = 96 ml/mmol, increased from 84 six months ago. My GP said I need not worry. It still fluctuates in the normal range, especially after an increased dose of Losartan. It could

Hello all! A lot of you have been following my journey through dialysis and recently transplant, and I really appreciate all of the support that you've given! I celebrated 6 months post transplant on 7/8/19, and after lowering my tac to 6mg daily (3 pills 2×/day), switching from Metoprolol to Losartan

Need your input and help...
Hi everyone. I need your help...my daughter 24 years old has been diagnosed first at age 14 with mpgn and then later changed to c3g. She has been holding her own with this disease with conservative treatment of losartan 50mg daily. It keeps the proteinuria somewhat low and she doesn’t suffer from any

Will Kidney function improve after gemzar/cisplatin
I hovered at creatinine of 1.1 to 1.3 during treatment but 4 weeks after treatment it is now 1.7 with egfr of 30. I am actually not very happy with my oncologist as he has not bothered to call me about the results. I saw them on the computer. Also,, went for a cystoscope at which time they did a urinalysis

Losartan and cough
My meds were changed from Candesartan to Losartan a couple of months ago after 3 years because of BP issues/low sodium. Since then I seem to have a constant throat rattle and wheeze and have to cough to clear it. Has anyone else had this on Losartan?

Post Cardiac Ablation
Can someone advise me please. I had a cardiac ablation around 7 years ago which was successful. However now I have an odd heart rate, sometimes is 40 beats a minute during the day and sometimes up to 180. My GP has put me on Losartan for Hypertension which has made me feel awful and gain weight. Surely
