Vitamin D
Just wondering if it is ok to take vitamin D supplements with heart meds, or even to increase vitamin D rich foods. Currently take: Ivabradine, atorvastatin, losartan, aspirin, amlodipine, amitriptyline.

Ramipril
Started on ramipril at Easter - but had to change to Losartan about a month ago due to the cough - I had persevered with the ramipril but I just couldn’t live with the cough anymore. My question is - how long does it take for the cough to go after stopping taking Ramipril? I’ve still got the cough now

Digoxin
Does anyone take a low dose of digoxin daily to prevent AF? It was described by the A&E doctor following my first post ablation AF. I had gone 3 years plus without AF. In the notes with the digoxin it states lowers heart rate. Mine is normally 58/62 so I don't want it any lower. I still haven't

very high blood pressure
I have had and AV node ablation and a PVI in an effort to control my AF . I was given sotalol and it seems to agree with me. I am usually sensitive to most drugs. Unfortunately although it is said that it makes the BP plunge the opposite has happened to me. I do take a diuretic - indapamide, but since

Blood pressure medication and certain foods
This evening I took my blood pressure and found that it was slightly raised - 134 / 77, okay nothing special about that (my norm is around 125 / 75), but what was unusual was that my pulse was down at 45. I usually record a rate of between 55 and 60, so I decided to find out what was happening. My current

Bisoprolol 2.5 for high BP & to prevent migraine
Hi, I'm new here but would appreciate any comments especially if you use B to prevent migraines? I've been put on bisoprolol 2.5 to lower my BP but also to prevent migraines. Previously I was on propranolol 80 (beta blocker) for years and it had been preventing my migraines successfully, but recently

Losartan and insomnia
Hi All, I have been taking losartan (not for BP reduction but for its function in reducing protein leakage) and as soon as I take it I become an insomniac instantly! I normally fall asleep within minutes and sleep through but on Losartan it takes me hours to wind down, after I've cleaned all the house

Visual disturbances at night.
I take Sotalol (for PAF) and Losartan (for blood pressure). Sotalol lists “visual disturbances” as a side effect and Losartan has “sleep disturbance”. I notice that when I go to sleep and my eyes are closed sometimes there is, intermittently (occurring say every 3 minutes or so) a visual disturbance
