ALLOPATHY COMBINED WITH AYURVEDA IN DCM

Respected and dear colleagues,

Pursuant to fluid restriction and continous use of diuretics (spironolactone plus toresemide 10 mg daily) my creatinine levels are up upto 1.9. My cardiologist has relaxed the fluid restriction from 1 litre to 1.5 litres daily and had discontinued losartan with potassium 25 mg daily.

Despite this my decreased urination, little tiredness continues.

Read about PUNARNAVA (BOERHAVIA DIFFUSA) an ayurvedic medicine which is a diuretic and reducer of creatinine. Advised to take both allopathy medications and this Ayurveda capsules with one hour gap.

I cannot consult this with my cardiologist as he will discontinue his treatment.

Anyone experienced may please guide me as to whether it would be safe and beneficial to combine allopathy medications and Ayurveda capsules to reduce creatinine levels in a DCM patient

Hello! I would always advise any heart patient to clear any supplement with their cardiologist/GP first as they may affect the action of BP/anticoagulant/anti-AF/etc. medication. The ones you are suggesting seem to have been the subject of some small scale non-rigourous trials. My advice is if your cardiologist does not approve then don't take them. But at least the end if the day you are an adult responsible for your own decisions.
