CRP
Hi all, I just wondered if anyone has had a similar experience to this. I have MPA and haven’t been on any meds since April 2019 and have been in remission with regular blood monitoring. However this week my routine bloods shows a CRP of 119 and my kidney function has dropped to 55. (Was about 75). I

Fatigue and generally feeling low
After my HA in March 2020, I felt I was recovering well - feeling well and exercising regularly. I experienced some ectopic beats in the summer, which were checked via 72 hour monitor and deemed to be harmless - they faded away after a few weeks. Other than that life has been pretty much back

When i first started taking one or two medications a day i was getting them out of the cupboard as required, but as the list of medications grew longer I invested in a seven day pill box which was fine when they all had to be taken in the morning. I was then put on other medication to be taken at evening

Very flushed hot face, neck and chest
Hi I am on 10mg amlopodine and 25mg losartan and have started going very hot every afternoon on my face, neck and chest. After a few hours it cools down and then I cant get warm. Could it be the blood pressure tablets? My bp is still 160/92 in the evenings.

Bathroom visits!
Does anyone share my "problem"? I take 3 meds to control my BP and find that I have to make frequent toilet visits during the morning, roughly an hour or so after my first cup of coffee and also after taking my meds I need to pee at least three times an hour for about 4 hours. Then things settle down

High Blood Pressure and AF - problems with finding suitable medication
I’m 82 years of age and new here, despite having had a problem with high blood pressure for three years. Despite trying Ramopril, Amlodopine and Losartan reinforced by Doxazosin, I’ve never settled to an acceptable BP reading for other than a couple of months. In March I became concerned because my

High Blood Pressure with AF - Concerned that progress to solution seems very difficult
AF & HBP. I’m new but have had the problem for three years. Have tried Ramopril, Amlodapine and have now got to Losartan at 100mg and Doxazosin at 3Mg per day. Covid hinders consultations with all being done by phone. My problem is that new or changes to medication seem to reduce pressure to around the

Hi, Can anyone advise me on using a spacer with Fostair please
I’ve used a spacer with salbutamol and given it a shake before use, but I’m not sure if I need to shake Fostair before using it with a spacer. Is it a powder inhaler? I’ve been on Duoresp spiromax, which I took without a spacer and it wasn’t necessary to shake it before use. But now I’ve changed to

When I was diagnosed with kidney failure I was warned about the problems in getting treatment right with heart failure complications. I thought I was doing so well but now I feel as if I'm on a see/saw toing and froing. My Bumetanide was reduced just half a tablet to give my kidneys a chance as I was

Losartan - Reply if you’re happy with it
Is anybody taking losartan and happy with it? No side effects? I do know some people who have no side effects, but when I look online it seems everybody is unhappy with EVERY type of bp med!

Should Losartan and Metformin be taken with food to help the Kidneys.
I have CDK stage 2 (65 GFR) and I am taking both Losartan and Metformin for HBP and Diabetes. Based on your experience, does it make any difference for the Kidney's health to take them with food, or do you think is Okay to take them without food? I would appreciate the benefit of your experience.

Losartan 50mg
I have been on Losartan for quite a long time and have not had any side effects at all. My diastolic blood pressure reading is now down to 82 which I am happy with. However the systolic is mostly round about 150 high. I measure my blood pressure all the time at home as I suffer from white coat syndrome

Sleeping feet
When I walk after 1/2 mile my feet start to sleep until I have to stop. After a few minutes it goes away then I can start again. Had vascular surgery on my right leg and it worked well curing any pain but then this started. I’m on Bisoprolol Losartan and Rosuvastatin Also get pain in leg muscles and

Irregular beats with Losartan
I posted a little while ago about the Cardio Pharmacist wanting to increase my Losartan dose to 150mg. After HA I was changed from Ramipril to low dose Losartan (25mg), which I was on for months with no problems. I increased that per instructions and got as far as 100mg before feeling pretty rubbish

Medication
Hi. I was on Amlodipine 5mg and Losartan 25mg. But the side effects from Amlodipine were not good. Bad aching joints, cough (& I’m asthmatic), itchy skin, swollen ankles and bad anxiety. Tried to speak to GP but referred to Clinical Pharmacist who has doubled the dose of Losartan. And she will review
