Losartan

Have lowered my dose of Losartin to 12.5 once a day due to side effects, Yet to inform GP. My BP seems fine .Does anyone else just take 12.5?

I had problems with losartan so specialist put me back on irbesartan much better

I have heard there is a wide choice of BP medication but never heard of ibersartan. I am keen to discover what side effects others might be having or have had with Losartan just to put my.mind st rest. If it is not too rude of me to ask, was strength were you on and what side effects did you xperience? I am glad that you have found something that suits you better. You say you were put BACK on Ibersartan. Why did you come off it before?

Hi Anxs. I was prescribed Losartan 12.5 almost a month ago after Ramipril aggravated my Raynauds. From the first dose.of Losartsn I began to feel a huge increase in anxiety and feel as though I am teetering on a tightrope, but although only a low dose, my.blood pressure level was acceptable when I had it checked last week at the surgery. . I am not sure if it is the Losartan that is causing me to feel anxious snd teetery but will either speak to my doctor or cardiologist if things do not improve. I was recently diagnosed with a heart murmur and a 'sticky' valve. Can you tell.me what side effects you were having on.the higher dose ? Have you managed well.on the lower dose.or have you been prescribed a different medication?

Hi when l seen what a low dose of Losarten you were o n l had to check my dose in disbelief it appears l have been taking 50mg Losarten for quite a few years after a heart attack and two stents 9 years ago and being switched from ramapril which was making me cough , l have never had any problems with it (touch wood) maybe l am lucky .
