Bleed during Eylea Injection
Hi, hubby had his 17th Eylea injection yesterday for BRVO. Good Covid arrangements in place and he was the first appointment 👍👍 or so we thought. He zoomed in after a temp check but patients came out and he didn’t appear! The usual excellent nurse injectors were there, who fill him with much needed

Thyroid/Afib issues
Hi, I need some help please! I have PAF so on daily dose of 5mg warfarin but for years I've had thyroid issues which are dealt with by taking 100 mcg of thyroxin every day. Been speaking with a Naturopath lately and she told me to do an iodine test which involved dropping some iodine onto my wrist

Pregnant (4 yrs infertility and recurring miscarriage) with (?) Hashimotos - SCARED!
I've had two miscarriages in the past in 2017 (have posted before)! Had bloods 15th June 2019: TSH 0.02 T3 7.9 T4 32 and a bunch of other stuff - I basically had everything tested prior to starting IVF. Couldn't start IVF because my thyroid was crazy. Further blood tests November 2019: TSH 3.76 T4

Starting dose for NDT after ablative radioactive iodine treatment
I am a (normally) fit man of 64 years and have had recurring cases of hyperthryroidism over the years so finally last June I had ablative radioactive iodine treatment to kill my thyroid Started on 100 mcg levothyroxine gradually increasing to 150mcg until my TSH was 1.63 and T4 was 4.4. However, I felt

No more hot feet and much less RLS
After about two years of taking 65 mg of iron every other night along with 125 mg of vitamin C, I no longer have hot feet when I get into bed. A Harvard study reported that taking it every other night is more effective and another study showed that taking iron with vitamin C is beneficial. More importantly

Do we have Graves antibodies forever, even after RAI?
I was hyper in 1987, and in my medical records one endo mentioned Graves, and one mentioned Hashimotos thyroiditis. There's no record of any antibody tests, just high T4 and low TSH. I had carbimazole and PTU, but relapsed afterwards, so was given RAI in 1989, and have been very hypo ever since. I

Hyperthyroidism and treatment question
I recently got diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. My doctor has told me it's either RAI or surgery and I am trying to understand whether this is the normal course of action or whether people would tend to be put on medication first. My doctor seemed very reluctant to give medication. I live in Japan, so

What do these blood results indicate?
Hello all, so after posting my last results when I was 700mcg of Levo and being completely over medicated, I slowly reduced my T4 down to 300mcg and added Raw Dessicated Bovine thyroid. My moods are stable, cms are coming off. I am not as exhausted after exercise and incorporating whole food way

I am so grateful to you people
Thank you to all of you for responding to my request for advice, this whole thing is such a learning curve it really does take time and the kind of help/advice that you provide is so valuable. I have taken note of your comments regarding Codeine, splitting my Pred' dosage, possibility it may not be PMR

Last night I went to bed 99% free of pain in my shoulders, arms wrists and hands and so much so that I didn't bother taking Codeine which I usually do,this hasn't happened for weeks and weeks. This morning I woke up with the usual severe pain in my shoulders, arms, wrists and hands. Does this suggest to

Should I switch from Levothyroxine to NDT?
Hi. I have hypothyroidism (Hashimoto's) and have been taking Levothyroxine for one year and 3 months. My dose is 50 mcg for 5 days per week and 75 mcg twice a week. I seem to be very sensitive to Levothyroxine. I lose a lot - and I mean A LOT - of hair when I am taking even 25 mcg a week more than

monthly injections in both eyes for over 4 years now. Gradually the "after" pain was getting worse and worse . I would mention it to Doctor who brushed me off . The last 5 injections where almost unbearable, swollen , burning eyes. The last injection kept me in a dark room with eyes closed for 36 hours

A hello , a check in and a recommendation (Naproxen)
Hi Ladies, Hoping you’re all ok it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. I’m personally very eager to get the ball roll again with treatment and seeing a specialist, we wait so long in normal circumstances that this situation seems cruel. GP’s have been pretty good though I must say. I’ve recently

Dental treatment
Is anyone else suffering from a rotten tooth while halfway through chemo? I would welcome any advice. I am surviving at the moment, trying to stay on Paracetamol with Ibuprofen and codeine for when necessary. The dentist says I must have swelling and a temperature before they will consider seeing me.
