tofacitinib side effects
my son has just started taking tofacitinib (xeljanz) and is feeling pretty rubbish like he's starting with a cold/flu which he's put down to side effects of this new drug. Has anyone else had the same and if so how long did they last? Also how effective has this been in treating your ulcerative colitis

Travel Insurance after lung surgery
My wife, aged 73 was diagnosed with lung cancer 12 months ago and subsequently underwent a left upper
lobectomy
. We are now hoping to undertake a cruise to Scandinavia and are seeking travel insurance. Has anybody discovered a travel insurance company who might be able to assist?

Help with Blue Horizon Thyroid Test Results
In October I had a total thyroid
lobectomy
to remove a 6cm lump, which was benign. Since having the operation my TSH was 5.46 (range 0.27 to 4.2). I was started on 50mg of levo. Last week, I had a blood test at my consultants office and the consultant told me that my tsh was still high at 4.9.

20 Months NED
In four months I will be at the two year mark since my
lobectomy
. Nothing to brag about but just something to be thankful for. I sincerely wish all of you could report the same. Rick

Is my body getting used to Levo?
Having never taken meds for thyroid before and having had a total
lobectomy
I have been on 50micrograms of Levothyroxine for 2 weeks now. The first week the change was amazing. Had so much more energy, not breathless, not dizzy, no more total wiped out exhaustion.

Some progress but a question about home testing
Having had a total thyroid
lobectomy
8 weeks ago. Had bloods done about 4 weeks ago with a raised tsh 5.46 (range 0.27 to 4.2) - no action taken to see if right half of thyroid would recover. Had bloods done again and I am now closer to range at TSH 4.4.

Trying to be hopeful
I had a
lobectomy
and 12 weeks of hellish chemo which I would never put myself through again. Everything seemed fine for awhile but sadly yesterday my consultant informed me that the cancer has now spread to my other lung also.

Completion Thyroidectomy
Hello, Last year I had a Thyroid
lobectomy
and have since had a diagnosis of Hashimoto’s which has unfortunately caused a nodule on the other side of my thyroid which is causing problems with my swallowing so I’ve now been booked in for a completion thyroidectomy.

Feeling dizzy and just strange!
I had a total thyroid
Lobectomy
and isthmectomy (left thryroid removed) a week ago as I had a 6cm solid lump in there. I am feeling a little bruised but physically ok. However, I feel like I am not quite with it in my head.

New member with bronchiectasis
Hi all, Recently diagnosed with bronchiectasis after a lifelong history of chest/breathing issues (
lobectomy
as a baby, asthma since toddler age). Mostly under control since I reached my teens but seem to be catching up with me again at age 57.
