Monitoring post lobectomy
I had a
lobectomy
in April 2017. Please can someone advise how often I should be monitored by way of CT scan? I last had a scan 6 months ago and am now under the care of The Brompton after a difficult journey of mis diagnosis at a previous hospital.

Some advice please
Hello, I'm looking for some advice. 3 weeks ago, my dad of 66 went into hospital for an elective
lobectomy
. He had only one day's notice for the procedure following a few weeks worth of preliminary tests. Following the surgery, he was moved to HDU and then to the ward and was set to come home.

Levator Ani spasms
I had a sigmoid colectomy in March of 2011 and exactly one week to the day I came home from the hospita,l I started having severe rectal pressure, as if to have a bowel movement. For the following year, my colorectal doctor tried all kinds of medicines and therapies and said in his 20 years of practice

In need of some encouragement and insight. (waking up from coma, dealing with the trach, etc...)
Luckily (in a way...) she was already in hospital at the time (she's gone through a
lobectomy
of her upper right lung lobe, after being diagnosed with lung cancer. A relatively small tumor with likely no metastasis.

Breast cancer radiation as a long term cause of primary lung cancer?
Last month, I had a bottom right
lobectomy
for stage 2a lung cancer (at Papworth hospital). Its a double whammy as 18 years ago I had radiation and chemo following a lumpectomy for breast cancer.

Unexpected diagnosis
We just received my husband's diagnosis after his
lobectomy
two days ago: stage 4 melanoma. We were expecting a stage 2 lung. Isn't that crazy? Hoping for a different type of cancer? The latter seemed treatable. Melanoma sounds so much worse. This will take awhile to sink in.

Module found 90 days after lobectomy
9x11 mm module found after 6 months of chemo and a middle and upper lobe removal in Dec 2017, also 30 shots of radiation. Normal 90 day ct scan and a module shows in the plural effusion! Does this mean cancer returned in the form of a 1 cm node?? Or is it scar tissue from the resection along with

How I got here
So I delayed my scheduled
lobectomy
because I wanted to be sure my colon was ok. To my relief, I didn't have a single polyp. I had the upper
lobectomy
on July 13 (Friday!) and all went well. I was the only child out of 8 who never smoked, so my lungs were in great shape for the surgery.

I just had normal holiday insurance due to being cancer free after
lobectomy
, no spread or metastasis and never had treatment. I Have always admitted to sarcoidosis on any forms, no extra charge. My Son sorted it out for me and paid for us both.

How does Doctor determine need for Oxygen?
My COPD after my
lobectomy
is getting worse especially in hot and humid conditions. How do they determine if you need oxygen. I had a breathing test in a chamber once.
