Cabergoline
Mine was discovered during routine staging following a
lobectomy
. It's being treated by an endocrinologist (!) with Cabergoline. At the moment it's stable, but would like to hear from anyone in a similar situation.

Left Upper VATS Lobectomy Surgery 10/29
My Father is going in for this procedure, (stage I lung cancer) and i was hoping to get some inside information on some things we could do for him at home that will make his recovery easier. Should we get adjustable Mattress, or a self lifting recliner for him? what can we expect?? thanks

Lost my mom to aspergillosis
She had a
lobectomy
. In 2009 it came back but she needed only radiation. Since then she's been clean. In 2013 she was diagnosed with aspergillosis. Over time though, this fungal ball, took a toll on her body. She was on voriconazole for two years.

Lobectomy
Today's the day I go into hospital, I have
Lobectomy
of upper lobe left lung tomorrow. I am so nervous now and will be glad when it is all over and I am on the road to recovery. I do have COPD so I know I will never be free of that but hope the SOB will be a bit better. Love Jan xx

Scared of lobectomy next week
I have been scheduled for a
lobectomy
(upper right lobe) and scared. A pulmonologist told me I had nothing to fear and suggested repeat scan in 6 - 8 months but to not worry- it was nothing.

Shocked & scared & confused now
I have lung cancer for which I've had a
Lobectomy
on my righthand side. The tumour was attached to two sides of my pleura & was 7cm. My surgeon wasn't going to undertake surgery if it tumour was attached to the pleura but did so as he said I wouldn't have long if he didn't.

VATS Lobectomy looming....
Well, all going well, this time next week I'll be minus 20% of my lungs. It's all happened really quickly after a very severe infection in January, the wheels were set in motion with the same surgeon who implanted my valves (they didn't work :( ) last year. Now it's LVRS (lung volume reduction surgery

Hello to everyone
I am booked for a sleeve
lobectomy
on my right lung on 21st October providing the results from this weeks biopsies are ok. I know I'm in good hands, the medical team are excellent and kind and compassionate. It helps. I have a super GP and very supportive family and friends.
