Should I test? After a tattoo

I recently got my kids names tattooed on my wrist. I went to a clean shop one I’ve been to before and I used vegan ink. I still have this growing fear that came after about hep C and Hep b.

Did the shop use fresh needles (straight out of a packet)? Did they use fresh inks - no sharing of bottles? Did the tattoist wear gloves or sterilize prior to your tattoo? If they did all of that there should be little risk from your tattoo. You've obviously stressed about your health in the past and this is another stresser for you BUT if it would put your mind at ease then you can always undergo testing if you think it would help you. I don't know what the implications of having such tests will have on your insurance etc.

Yes she used fresh needle and new pot for the ink and gloves with a sterile paper down. I have a round of blood work coming up so I’ll just ask for it it at the end of the month. I spoke to my dr he thinks there’s not much of a risk. But still my mind wanders.
