The importance of 'Dynamic' stretching in cold weather
I personally always do "Dynamic" stretches before a run , But if it's not part of your routine you may want to consider it in this cold weather as your muscles will contract in the cold to preserve heat. https://www.orthopedicperformance.com/blog/the-importance-of-stretching-in-cold-weather/#:~:text

With CLL, are there any serious side effects after getting the" full" dose seniors flu vaccine. Also , does it matter if I take ibuprofen as compared to acetaminopfen once in awhile ? Thank you .

Cold induced urticaria and fibro
Morning, I managed to go in the garden yesterday, hung a little washing out, then managed to start to prune a shrub. It was difficult, pain always there, but I can’t give in to the fibro and do nothing! It was brilliant sunshine, but a cold NE wind . I was only outside for about 15 mins, max. I was

Confusing advice from consultant
I had a terrible experience today. My son's asthma consultant became annoyed at me and my husband because we chose to homeschool our five year old, largely because of his asthma. He gets three to four days of constant coughing when it flares and he was like this at least twice a month. We think viruses

endometriosis and colds/flu
hi, does anyone else feel like having endometriosis makes things like colds and flu worse?? I’m sure I read somewhere that endometriosis can affect the immune system, think it’s linked with leaky gut. I seem to get colds a lot and when I do, they completely wipe me out, and they tend to flare up my endometriosis

Severe Cold, to Bronchitis; PMR has not returned
Had gotten a cold that became tenacious, as after 1 week of a head cold it progressed to my chest. A week later I had Bronchitis for the first time in my life and starting with week 3 my GP put me on a Prednisone routine of 40 mg, 30, 20, 10 over a course of 10 days. As if that wasn’t enough, she

COPD update and next steps.
Well, hello again. I hope you're all well. My wife saw the ANP yesterday. Given a full rundown of all she has had done and been given etc. She did not prescribe anymore antibiotics as she wants a sputum sample over 3 days to find out exactly what sort of bacteria they are dealing with. Not helpful

Morning cough
Hi folks hope you are all doing as well as possible. I was diagnosed with copd a few years ago and never had any real problems except the odd bronchitis flare and treated with antibiotics . In November I caught a cold and had 3 lots of steroids and antibiotics. My question is I now have a morning cough

At last - comparison of LT4 v DTE(NDT) treatment of hypothyroidism
This is a poster from the recent ATA conference (no 125). I can't get the actual poster but what it says is: A recent multicenter, double-blind randomized clinical trial (presented @AmThyroidAssn meeting) involved 284 patients and compared therapy with LT4 vs desiccated thyroid extract (DTE) for up

Gaining weight on Progynova
I weighed myself this morning which was a big mistake, I've been feeling bigger and wanted to know if that was reflected on the scale. I've been on 4x 2mg progynova for the past 2+ weeks. I'm hoping it's the meds and its just water retention but maybe my eating hasn't been great! Did anyone else have

Do you feel the cold more than folk who don't have ssc?
I read somewhere that people with ssc feel the cold/complain about feeling cold more than those without this condition, and because of the ssc, rather than if you have raynaurd's alone. I am one of those who needs the room temperature to be 19 degrees or above. Embarrassingly, at work l put the heating
