Low T4
Hi I have been taking 40mg liothyronine for 10 + years - this has never been changed. Recent trip to A & E ( very high BP) the Dr queried my low T4 levels but my GP is saying that this is normal with someone taking T3 meds.I would be very grateful for reassurance that my GP is correct .

Headaches and nightmares on T3 monotherapy
Hi, does anyone else get headaches and nightmares on T3 monotherapy? I have read the side effects leaflet and it states that 'headache' and 'insomnia' are two of the side effects; since I have been on T3 only I often wake up in the night and have a very light sleep compared to what I am used to, then

Liothyronine - moving from tablets to capsules
Just had a letter from GP saying that from now on I will be getting capsules rather than my usual tablets. Reason is obvious: my current (Morning Healthcare ltd) cost NHS £300 for my 56 tables per month capsules should bring it down to £130 No problem with that 👍 So this post is: a) just a sanity

Anyone been prescribed T3 by endo in Leeds? I need to advise my son's partner. Please send a pm (chat) to me.
Good morning, can I pick your brains? My son's partner has Hashimoto's and still has symptoms despite normal blood test results and I'm urging her to request a referral to an endocrinologist for a trial of T3. She is new to hypothyroidism and her fT4 and fT3 results indicate she is a poor converter,

Update on Labs - What is Going On? :-)
Labs done ~7AM - 24 hours after T4 and 12 hours after T3, having stopped biotin 4 days prior. My endo has been good about letting me have needed T3 after being deficient for over a decade with other doctors. I am not sure what to make of the labs since she upped my T3 back in December. I started dosage

How best to split a 5mcg Roma capsule
Hi I’ve just been to collect my first ever Liothyronine. I’ve been given 5mcg Roma capsules. I would like to be able to just start with 2.5mcg. Have searched for posts on splitting the capsules - some suggest mixing with water and using a syringe to take half - but possible issue with the second half

Followed advice here, now need help with understanding results
Hi, I’ve learned more here in the last year or so than I’ve ever learned from doctors. I’ve also come to know that I’ve probably been on too low of a Synthroid dosage for far too long. I am hypothyroid with Hashimoto’s since 2005 or 2006. I had a goiter on my parathyroid and had surgery to remove
