Hello all, I posted many years ago about the rocky journey I've had with my thyroid. I am extremely sensitive to levo and can only tolerate small doses. I had been

Suspect Medichecks Thyroid test is incorrect! Is this possible?
Hi all hope everyone is well on this glorious autumn day. I am really well, but according to recent thyroid test done, via medichecks, 12 days ago I should be experiencing hypothyroid symptoms and really out of it but I am not. In fact I feeling really well, best in a long time, so beginning to suspect

blood thinner easiest on stomach
Hi! I have been on Eliquis(apixaban) and just a half dose because of my sensitivities to get me used to it for seven weeks. I have a lot of stomach upset and discomfort and nausea on and off and lots of gas and it’s hard to think of living in daily discomfort for the rest of my life on this blood thinner

Is this thyroid or perimenopause or something else?
About 3 months ago I had a few weeks of feeling dizzy, faint, low resting heart rate and brain fog. All these coincided with me losing weight - this may or may not be relevant. My levothyroxine dose got changed from 75 daily to 4 days of 75 and 3 days of 100, I also started taking multivitamins and my

medication increase?
I have been feeling achy and my heart has been beating either too fast or missing a beat. I am also finding it hard to lose weight despite doing Weightwatchers. Is this a sign that I may need an increase in my levothyroxine? I am currently taking 75mcg daily.

Blood Test for vits (and thyroid)
Hello all. Following advice from SlowDragon, got GP to agree to Vit testing as T3 low and as SlowDragon though they would, they drew blood for Thyroid levels , too! Must say here, too, after GPS lowered my Levo, because I had too many hypo symptoms return, I upped the dose from 175 to 200 as on 200

Dexa scan and low vitamin D
A GP at the surgery is insisting on a dexa scan as my TSH has been suppressed since I trialled T3, and she’s adamant I’m to reduce my levo dose (see my last two posts if more information needed). My question is, I had dire vitamin D levels of 22 and deficiency for I suspect at least 7 years whilst carrying

Roma liothyronine
So I've been on the roma liothyronine for around 6 months. I've had bad indigestion with it despite taking it with a large glass of water. So I mentioned to the nurse this morning that I was better on the tablets. Got quite an antsy phone call from the practice pharmacist who wasn't happy about me wanting

Quick question about how to take T3
Hi everyone, What’s the protocol for taking T3? Is it the same as with levothyroxine, eg several hours after food, and leaving at least an hour before eating/drinking anything other than water? Thanks 🙏

Levothyroxine
Hi, I live abroad but before I left, my doc put me on 75 mg levo. I was on it for a couple years. But my pharmacy ran out of 75 so they gave me 100mg. Since I knew very little about hypothyroidism, I started taking the 100. After a few weeks I began pooping five times a day. Had mushy stools all

I am feeling a bit better, not so spaced out, no depression or dizziness. I stopped HRT in July. However, I do still get tired, have weight problems, have a swollen scalloped tongue, high cholesterol, goitre, tinnitus, joint stiffness. I am on 100mg Levothyroxine. I take B complex, B1, selenium

Self medicating
Hi all, I am going to retest my thyroid and vitamin levels in a couple of weeks after 6 weeks of a dose increase from 125 to 150 mcg of levo. I'm anticipating my t4 being high in range and my t3 levels being low as I still have many unresolved symptoms. My previous post a month ago showed that I'm
