Anyone who knows how soon levothyroxine or liothyronine have an affect on heavy periods?

I am already prescribed by nhs hospital specialist 150 levothyroxine and 25 liothyronine. Are there any known issues regarding pharmacy or new doctors? Many thanks.

My NHS endocrinologist is trialing me on the combination meds, Levothyroxine & Liothyronine ( after ages of fighting for this ) but has only requested for my TSH levels to be tested from now on, shouldn't my T4 and T3 levels not be checked each time too? Especially now I'm taking T3 medication?

Hi, I’ve my annual review at the beginning of Feb and have not been able to get a morning appointment, the earliest is just after 2.00pm. I’ve tried to change day and time without success. What should I do in terms of meds (T4 & T3)? I take both together through the night, usually between 2 - 4 am.

Now tsh.9.52 free t4 10.0and free t3 3.7 endo has said to increase to 25 liothyronine and keep same levothyroxine at 150. So increase of 5 liothyronine in morning. Are 5mcg liothyronine easy to get as I already have 10s which were hard enough.

I have autoimmune thyroiditis and have taken 75mcg Levothyroxine and 10mcg liothyronine for many years. Thyroid medication was stopped 24 hours prior to the morning blood test and vitamin B supplements several days before. Many thanks in advance!

Only levothyroxine.. That liothyronine has to be by request to endocrinology. The NHS are now also refusing T3 in blood tests. My GP cannot even select it. If anyone has advice I'd much appreciate it. Anyone in Brighton with any advice on a NHS endo consultant or gp more favorable.

I wondered should I do my first saliva sample away from my levothyroxine and liothyronine medications?

I’ve been taking levothyroxine for 20 years and now I’ve been taking liothyronine T3 combined for the past 6 years. It’s a bit concerning when it happens and lasts about an hour then goes away.

I take 150 levothyroxine and 20 liothyronine. Specialist also told me to take vitamin d. Had test done as recommended early morning water only. Blood results as follows. Now told to reduce vit d may have to increase levothyroxine. But only if my weight increases.

My gp practice always puts satisfactory no follow up but I’m taking 110 mc levothyroxine and 10 mc liothyronine and I can’t get my endocrinologist appointment fir a couple of months thank you in advance 🤞I’m 56 female on hrt 75mc 2 x a week also

I'm on levothyroxine and Liothyronine and have been for over 10years. Trying hard to lose weight and now menopausal....just literally things got worse! Am thinking to try NMN to help with DNA repair...any thoughts?

Currently taking 125mcg Levothyroxine + 15mcg Liothyronine. The dose seems about right, but the problem I’m having is sourcing a lactose-free brand of levothyroxine. The only brand that I can find is TEVA.

The suggestion that combination treatment (levothyroxine and liothyronine) might be an antidote to persistent symptoms comes from evidence extrapolated from some elegant rodent experiments.

I’m on levothyroxine (200) & liothyronine (20). I’ve had a suppressed TSH since adding liothyronine to my meds in 2015. I used to see an NHS consultant at the hospital once a year.

Please can someone point me to where I can find this info? Thank you so much. I think I might need to up T4 and reduce T3 soon. No point asking Endo as there's no appointments available for 56 weeks! 🙏🙏

From reading on here it seems to be more common now for thyroidies not to be able to get their named Levothyroxine/Liothyronine. helvella do you you get your supplies OK?

Currently I am on 50mcg Levothyroxine and 15mcg Liothyronine but feeling weird, heightened anxiety, flutters, a feeling of internal restlessness and stress. Endo just rang and he is happy with my ‘normal’ blood results and heart monitoring results.

I am on 62.5mcg Levothyroxine and 5mcg Liothyronine. Test done as per all advice - I split the Liothyronine so had 2.5 mcg 9 hours before the test. Levo 24 hours before. I get Roma capsules so a bit annoying to split.
