Be Aware To Beware.....FYI
For example, iron supplements may decrease the absorption of
levodopa
and these medications should be spaced as far as possible.

CDP choline and dyskinesia
I have read about expected improvements in symptoms of slowness and stiffness as well as more efficient use of
Levodopa
. But I have not read that dyskinesia will improve until
Levodopa
is reduced. My dyskinesia is associated with peak dose.

L-Theanine (not to be confused with Theanine B1)
Does anybody have any experience of supplementing with L-Theanine, (or drinking Green Tea, which contains L-Theanine) to help with sleep or any symptoms of Parkinsons? This video piqued by interest as it indicates that L-Theanine reduces the excitatory signals of Glutamate in the brain. https://www.youtube.com

Trying out L-dopa supplement
While much of my ADHD symptoms are improved by my medication (atomoxetine), I know that I still struggle. I've been listening to the Huberman Lab podcast for a couple of years now, and Dr. Huberman talks about various supplements. Some of the supplements that he has talked about are supposed to help

Total newbie to PD
I’ve been given
levodopa
to ease symptoms but also to help confirm the diagnosis. There is lots online about fancy modern research into more definitive testing and I wondered if these would be routinely available on the NHS anytime?

Nicotine Patch helps immensely.
carbidopa
levodopa
!!! Early in my Parkinson’s diagnosis, I felt better when I didn’t take the medicine. So I stopped cold turkey. I know how stupid that was. I nearly died of neuro malignant syndrome. Do yourself a favor and go buy a 7 mg nicotine patch.

Medication Wearing Off
My meds 1.5
levodopa
3 times a day, 8 am noon 4pm Recently they kick in 50 min, 2 hours on. The last hour is wear off... I freeze, rigid, slow during this time. I get frozen usually sitting during this period and can only get relief from walking.

Guidance for RLS
I did take Carbidopa-
Levodopa
for several months, which eased my RLS significantly, but now it's back in full force and the Carbidopa-Lev. doesn't work anymore. I've written more about my RLS journey in my bio profile if you want to read it. I'm looking for any advice anyone can give me.

Excel spreadsheet that tracks a levodopa dose?
Someone had shared an interactive spreadsheet they created that allowed a user to input doses of
levodopa
to see peak dose, wearing off, etc. I've been searching with keywords but can't find it. Can anyone give me a link? It was posted last year, I believe.

Levodopa not helping

UPDATE: Dad's Surgery on Broken Ankle Bone and Resulting PSYCHOSIS. QUESTION: How do you deal with Episodes of Hallucinations & Delusions?
Here is what seems to work best: Dad takes some form of dopamine every 2 hours basically, a smaller dose of SINEMET ALTERNATING WITH A SMALLER DOSE OF ZANDOPA (Mucuna Pruriens, the Velvet Bean, a natural form of dopamine, that is kind of like taking
Levodopa
without the Carbidopa, as I understand it

About me
Immediately I started on a course of
Levodopa
, and Primapexole for the dystonia, and within a week, the depression was gone, and I felt physically much better. Fast forward to August 2023… I now take eight Prolopa capsules a day, and three Primapexole pills per day.

Has anyone had success reducing levodopa-induced Dyskinesias after using Dr. Laurie Mischley’s regimen? (High DHA Fish Oil, Citicholine)
I would like to know if anyone has been successful in reducing or eliminating
levodopa
-induced dyskinesias after using Dr. Laurie Mischley's regimen (High DHA Fish Oil and Citicholine). There were quite a number of posts here about 2 months ago.
