Fast acting Levodopa?

My understanding is that levodopa needs to reach and be absorbed in the small intestine, so the drug needs much time to kick in. There are times however, when the levodopa is needed right away. Does anyone recall the post to have thoughts about getting levodopa absorbed faster?

Negative levodopa

Where might negative levodopa be useful: - as we have seen, reducing levodopa induced dyskinesia; - response to mistakenly taking a double dose - as soon as you find the mistake eat protein; - smooth out the peaks in levodopa levels.

My neurologidt prescribed it to me (50mg.) to take in combination with levodopa. Its function should be to neutralize those enzymes that degrade levodopa so as to make "on" effect more lasting. It only worked for me a few months.

Is high dose thiamine therapy effective for people not taking levodopa?

If I understand correctly this therapy "is a co-adjuvant therapeutic measure to use with levodopa therapy". Does it mean this therapy won't have any effect on my friend not taking levodopa? They are taking amantadine and pramipexole. Can B1 therapy help?

ibuprofen for PD

Occasionally I take Ibuprofen 400 mg once in a week or so and it fortifies the effects of levodopa by three times or higher. Wondering if there are any studies available on ibuprofen use for PD. Are there any negative side effects of its use for long ? Or long term positive effects for PD:

Levodopa may slow progression

There has been much concern that levodopa hastens the progression of PD. Many studies have found this not to be the case.
