I started CDP choline, 1 300 mg capsule, in the mornings, 2 days ago. My main interest was to improve memory which has been declining and reduce stiffness and improve bradykinesia. After only 2 days I've noticed remarkable improvement in bradykinesia and stiffness, as well, and surprisingly, my dyskinesia has disappeared!
I have read about expected improvements in symptoms of slowness and stiffness as well as more efficient use of Levodopa. But I have not read that dyskinesia will improve until Levodopa is reduced. My dyskinesia is associated with peak dose.
Has this been the experience of any others taking cdp choline? I'm of course pleasantly surprised.

That should read that I take 1 - 300mg capsule a day. Not 1300. So you are saying that CDP choline has been known to reduce or eliminate peak dose dyskinesia - without reducing Levodopa? I can't find anything on this topic though I have read that is has been useful for the treatment of Tardive Dyskinesia.
My mum's gait improved dramatically upon the introduction of citicoline/ choline cdp. (With an initial dose of 1000mg/day).
My mum is a little odd, perhaps: no distinct ON/OFF periods; no signs of obvious dyskinesia at any point in her disease history....yet the addition of citicoline did induce some agitation which was eliminated once I reduced the Sinemet dose...so a little more typical in that regard.
Thank you for the feedback. I'm keeping my dosage low since citicoline has a long half-life. I'll only up it as I see the need. I do realize most studies were done at 500mg and above. Would love to be able to reduce the Levodopa. Not quite there yet.
I just started a few days ago and for now yes, if I feel it's too much I might cleanse on weekends and not take it. Since on weekends I do less physically and mentally. I've very sensitive to supplements so I take very small amounts - usually half of the recommended on any bottle. But I'm definitely feeling a positive and surprising difference.
I really couldn't tell you. But I got this from Wikipedia:
Citicoline, also known as cytidine diphosphate-choline or cytidine 5'-diphosphocholine is an intermediate in the generation of phosphatidylcholine from choline, a common biochemical process in cell membranes. Citicoline is naturally occurring in the cells of human and animal tissue, in particular the organs. Wikipedia
Do you mean to say that if I am taking 4 L-DOPA tablets a day, after starting Citicoline, I will need 2 L-DOPA tablets and if I stop taking Citicoline I will need 12 L-DOPA tablets?
Thank you!! I had ordered the Carlyle brand from Amazon last year. I actually saw the double woods brand listed today as one of the top 3 best brands to use along with Now and Jarrow. Thank you for the information!!
