madopar vs sinemet

hi everyone! I’m planning to switch from sinemet 125 mg (levodopa carbidopa combination) immediate release to madopar Controlled release 125 mg (levodopa benserazide). Based on your experience, do you think it’s safe n is a good idea?

I’ve been taking Madopar for five years. I was very sick at first, but Domperidon helped and once over that I’ve had no side effects. Several of my friends take Sinemet. I get the impression they are quite similar dopamine replacements.

my husband had a very bad experience with the cr madopar and is doing much better on the white instant release madopar. The cr was fine for about a week then he got progressively more agitated, suicidal, anxious, constipated, insomniac. It was too strong for him.

I feel I’m getting a delayed on time with sinemet n some dyskinesia

they all do the same, even the generic ones. The pharmacy gives me 6 months of levodopa/carbidopa supplies and they mix everything up: generic, sinemet, madopar. No difference…
