I’m looking for recommendations to manage chronic fatigue and narcolepsy.
I have noted this seems to be related to the intake of
levodopa
, because at evening/ night when not medicated I feel alert and more strength but then suffer insomnia. I’m on my 15 years with PD.

Stopping meds
I wanted to see what the effects might be. How soon does the body deteriorate after stopping L-Dopa? I stopped Rytary 9 days ago. I've had two mild bouts of dizziness. And as can be seen on this shopping list my hand writing has gone from bad to worse. I wondered if there might be withdrawal

A potential case of remission of Parkinson’s disease
There are numerous possibilities that may account for this symptom remission, such as a previously uncharacterized disease progression, an unusually positive response to
Levodopa
, or the therapeutic contributions of healthy lifestyle habits.

Natural levodopa
My Dad is currently on natural levadopa as he doesn’t like the thought of western medicine. He watched his brother suffer terribly with western medicine. Is this still beneficial with Thiamine therapy?

The Value Of Carbidopa Levodopa Demonstrated in Two Signatures
One of the first decisions a PwP must make is when (or whether) to begin taking medication. There is no correct answer and we all know how PD varies from person to person. I held off for 2 1/2 years after my diagnosis, but a relatively minor event today caused me to pause and think about how well sinemet

Why Does High Dose Thiamine Work?
improvement of the energetic metabolism of the survivors neurons in the substantia nigra, due to the high doses of thiamine, could lead to an increase of synthesis and release of the endogenous dopamine, to an increase of activity of the thiamine-dependent enzymes, or to a better utilization of the exogenous

Levodopa/Carbidopa and vitamin C
I am sorry if this was previously discussed but I couldn't find it anywhere. I was told to take my L/C with Emerg-C but I just can't get it down. Can I take it with an Ascorbic Acid supplement instead?

Surprise, surprise. "When should you start medication therapy for Parkinson's disease?" as per THE PARKINSON'S FOUNDATION.
"The most important factor in initiating medications for an individual patient is whether Parkinson’s symptoms are affecting quality of life, (read; interfering with...) or alternatively whether symptoms are affecting work performance." Read; not automatically at the time of diagnosis. https://www.parkinson.org

Ropinerole and Muncuna Pruriens
Has anyone had any experience of combining Ropinerole with high strength Mucuna Pruriens L-Dopa extract capsules food supplement? I am on 0.5mg of Ropinerole and reluctant to increase the dosage due to augmentation so I have just started to take Muncuna early in the evening followed by Ropinerole before

Long-lasting response to levodopa in Parkinson's. Another important discovery funded by the Grigioni FoundationTuesday, 07 July 2020.
The authors draw two conclusions: Documentation and extent of long-lasting response to
levodopa
represent additional reasons for starting low-dose
levodopa
early in the disease.

development of a nasal spray for Parkinson’s disease treatment.
Researchers from the University of York have developed a new gel that can adhere to tissue inside the nose alongside the drug

REFINING MY PREVIOUS QUESTION (,,, food for thought): should it be preferable in PSP to take phenylalanine instead of tyrosin supplements?
REFINING MY QUESTION (,,, food for thought...) Tyrosine is a dopamine percursor and as such appears to be a good option for supplementation in PSP. “Tyrosine hydroxylase” is the enzyme responsible for catalyzing the conversion of the amino acid L- tyrosine to L-DOPA. Tyrosine can also be made of phenylalanine

Mannitol and B1: What’s going on?
Last September, my hwp for 16 years, started mannitol. Over the next months, this gradually allowed him to reduce his dopamine meds, first eliminating the Neupro patch, then gradually eliminating Rytary. He has cognitive impairment and too much of those 2 meds would cause hallucinations. But dialing

Back to Melatonin - Dosing?
I won't go as deep as Art does on Melatonin, but am picking up on a point Art makes often: Dosing! I read all these papers and frankly skim over a lot. Today somebody on FB reposted one of my favorites: 2021 - Melatonin as a Chronobiotic and Cytoprotective Agent in Parkinson’s Disease https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

My story so far.
Put on
levodopa
straight away. Now taking 25mg and 12.5 mg four times a day plus two 25mg controlled release tablets at bedtime. Approx 12 months ago Rasagaline added - one dose daily 1mg. My symptoms have not increased greatly. Stiff and painful neck is still there but slightly worse.
