REFINING MY QUESTION (,,, food for thought...)

Tyrosine is a dopamine percursor and as such appears to be a good option for supplementation in PSP.

“Tyrosine hydroxylase” is the enzyme responsible for catalyzing the conversion of the amino acid L- tyrosine to L-DOPA.

Tyrosine can also be made of phenylalanine, an essential α-amino acid with the formula C9H11NO2.

Excessive iron accumulation in the brain (in substantia nigra) is a feature of PSP.

Bearing this fact in mind, will it be wise to take tyrosine supplements knowing that “tyrosine hydroxylase” is an iron containing enzyme involved in the conversion of tyrosine to dopamine?

Or otherwise should it be preferable in PSP to take phenylalanine supplements instead of tyrosine supplements?

Kind regards
