My Dad is currently on natural levadopa as he doesn’t like the thought of western medicine. He watched his brother suffer terribly with western medicine. Is this still beneficial with Thiamine therapy?
Natural levodopa : My Dad is currently on... - Cure Parkinson's
Natural levodopa
Yes they work well together.
I didn’t even know there was a natural levodopa! I’m actually in the process of taking my mom off her RX of this from her Dr because it’s done nothing for her, rather I’ve noticed she’s only advanced more with her symptoms. The side effects out weigh any improvements there may have been with this drug. How long has your dad taken the natural levodopa and have you noticed improvement in his condition?
Hi he’s been on it about a month. He finds the tremor has lessened and more energy it’s only been a month on both so we are still waiting to see full effects and maybe make some adjustments to dosage accordingly as we go on. What you’re describing is exactly what happened to my uncle. The drugs would stop one problem but cause 3 extra on top of that. Sadly that’s how it goes (not for everyone I know) This is why we are trying to dodge it for as long as possible.
Sean thank you for replying and sharing this info. Please update how it’s all working out for your dad. I’m very interested in knowing the benefits of an alternative to the RX form she has been taking. My mom is on her first week of being weened off the C/L.
It’s going well. We have adjusted the natural levodopa. He was taking one spoon at breakfast and one at lunch. He now takes half a spoon every 4 hours. So one at 10, one at 2 and one at 6. This seems to give more of a consistent relief. He takes 2 500mg of b1 a day too. Overall he’s doing better. The heat has knocked him back a couple of times but he’s okay as soon as it goes again. I think heat intolerance is part of Parkinson’s. He still has tremors but they are visibly lessened. Posture is better and voice louder. He has more energy.
