Skipping doses?
I found med packets on the bathroom counter, with a white pill left in it. So I called the doctor and they said he’s not taking his antipsychotic med. So for 9 months, the reason we went to the doctor last year, means jack ****. He purposely leaves it out. So I look at his pills, he has the entire case

Improving the Bio-availability of Levodopa
This is a simplified version of my research into how L-Dopa is metabolised in humans and my current understanding of how its duration in the blood may be very significantly improved simply by drinking a glass of Grapefruit juice per day. Earlier this month, I posted a detailed scientific article on

Trying to find the best Mucuna Pruriens
I know there have been many discussions on this forum regarding the use of Mucuna Pruriens. My husband has been trying to figure out which brand and type may work best for him. I thought it would be a good idea for members who use Mucuna Pruriens to comment on the brand they use, type (powder or pill

Mucuna my natural protocol
Ernie suggested that I post this I thought it was a good idea since I get asked the question quite a bit. My mucuna protocol! What you eat and when you eat is critical in the effectiveness of mucuna! I was on Carbidopa levodopa 25 100 for about 6 months and I weaned off completely in about a week. I

B-6, Methyl Folate and B-12
I know it's been written before, yet I'm still confused. Vitamin B-6 has to be taken a few hours after Levodopa, RIGHT? Even though he is on Levodopa/Carbidopa, I still hold to that "rule". Methyl Folate, B-9, is it safe or no? Vitamin B-12, I have heard a negative about it. He takes this daily at 1

Zandopa and Mucuna Pruriens
Hi all! I have a couple of questions for you all. My husband is 54 and was diagnosed with PD in 2015. He has tried a number of meds, but eventually found that Zandopa along with C/L worked best. However, Zandopa underwent a change several months ago and it stopped working for him like it used to.

Sinemet - sleep problems
Started Sinemet 1/2/19. 3 x 12.5 / 50. Doubled it as instructed 3/3/19. Sleeping badly, feeling worried and low, can't taste food. Decided yesterday to go back to original dose, and hopefully bring in high dose thiamin. New to this forum. Have had brilliant advice from PwP who runs a website. She was

Entacapone side effects
I have been put on entacapone 200mg with sinemet 25/100 3 x a day & I have been experiencing terrible sweating at night. At first, I thought maybe it's just going through menopause, but this sweating is way different, because I am literally sweating from my head to my toes. Has anyone else experienced

Eliminating Sinemet
I'm 75 years old and was first diagnosed with PD by a neurologist about 15 years ago. At that time the only symptoms I remember having were that I sometimes stepped a little bit funny, and I didn't swing my arms when I walked. Anyway, the doc immediately prescribed 3 Sinemets per day, with which I complied
