Messed up oral biome
Anyone else have experience with a noticeable change in their mouth biome, or saliva chemistry? is anyone else having trouble with motility in the gut as well? For example, I have trouble with slow transit/motility and I feel like my whole colon is dried out. Strangely similar is my oral biome - as

Do other dopamine boosters also cause augmentation?
I’m experiencing really bad RLS augmentation from supplementing with L-Dopa for three months, but wondering if I switch to other dopamine boosters such as Chlonine, Uridine, L-theanine, will the effect be the same? For context, this is what they specifically do: https://www.mindlabpro.com/blogs/nootropics

Pharmacology of levodopa/carbidopa
I’m hoping someone can explain the pharmacology of l/c which has never been explained satisfactorily to me. I’ve been taking l/c for two and a half years and was diagnosed coming up to eight years ago. I understand the half life of levodopa is one and a half hours. But there still seems to be

Low dose aspirin?
Not sure if anyone had seen this study, but wanted to post it just in case - "Aspirin: Barking up the right tree?" which presents a study on mice which may not translate to the same results in humans, however conclusion was very intriguing: "Recently researchers have found that low doses of the pain

B1 Tyamine - how much to start?
I ordered 500mg B1 hcl from Vitacost. I am also taking Carbidopa/levodopa 25/100 the times a day. I also take a small amount of L-dopa (1/8 tsp) from NutriVita. I was wondering, how much B1 should I start taking? Don’t want to OD on too many things. I was diagnosed in April.

Opicapone
My husband was given Opicapone about 18 months ago but stopped taking it for some reason. He started taking it again just over a month ago. He found immediate improvement with it eg. not having to go to the toilet so often during the night but he is finding it difficult to get the correct dose. It does

Rytary and Bydureon updates
I have posted about this in the past six months and wanted to give an update. I started Rytary about 6 months ago and struggled to find a way to control my symptoms. It is a slow acting form of Carbidopa and Levodopa that is a controlled release capsule. I said “slow acting” because it takes a while

Since I havent seen my neurologist in about TWO YEARS, I had a bunch of questions for him. here they are and here are his answers: Any value in genetic testing? No. Should we test my gut bacteria? No. Would Stem cell replacement be beneficial? Still experimental. No. Have you ever heard of the Marty

Love em moments
For those who don’t know me I’m a caregiver for my husband who has been diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia, not CBD as initially thought. We had an appointment today at Cleveland Clinic and I asked about a possible diagnosis of Multiple Symptom Atrophy. For several reasons that I can’t repeat right now

Using natural carbidopa with mucuna
Has anyone experience of this? We tried a protocol of vit c plus several other nutritional supplements which was supposed to mimic carbidopa, but for my husband there wasn't any difference in how long the mucuna lasted. We, ve been using mucuna for 2+yrs, but now we, re taking large amounts of it,

Thumbs up for Nilotinib - Phase II Trials
Those of you who are following clinical trials for repurposed drugs that offer potential to slow or halt the progression of PD will no doubt recall the highly favorable reports from the Phase I trial of Nilotinib that was done at Georgetown University and was reported on in October of 2015. You will
