A friend's successful use of high dose thiamine
Four years ago I first posted here, when I was helping out a friend who had recently been diagnosed. She'd had problems for a long time before that, with loss of smell at least 8 years ago. In the past four years, with HDT, she has improved, and the Parkinson's has never progressed. Some people don't

Can we boost Carbidopa/Levodopa results with lemons?
Whole Lemon might help Carbidopa/Levodopa work better plus many other health benefits. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8200147/ https://youtu.be/LSwP5eMS1Uo?si=raYOOsbeZ-GOY7p3

Off Dyskinesia-anyone else have it? What's your fix?
Approximate 11 years into taking sinemet my pharmacy started only carrying generic versions. Which I'd when I started experiencing dyskinesia when the Carbidopa/levadopa started to wear off. And was told snd treated by a movement specialist that I was over medicated and attempted to reduce my dosage

Tremors are still there
Hi all, recently diagnosed, 65, overweight, but active. I started 4 weeks ago with 25/100 Carbidopa-Levodopa , 3 pills a day. I am taking them every 8 hours without side effects. I am disappointed that my right hand tremors (main motor problem) are still constantly there. They have never disappeared

When will we reconcile with the fact that there is no cure now? Possibly never?
This is a vent. Sorry for this, but I am frustrated with the disease and the daily stress of living with it. People don't understand what we're going through and have limited patience with our strange condition. Family and friends who observe us at close quarters start to form their own opinions about

another iron infusion? and low ALT level
Hello, dear RLS friends! I would really appreciate your advice regarding my mother's ferritin levels. So she is currently on 0.375 mg (some days up to 0.5 mg) and 900 mg neurontin. I know DAs are not optimal, but at this point it would really be a problem to withdraw, especially that mom did start with

Posting bitmaps
Hi, does anyone know how to post and add bitmap images (some Levodopa charts I'd like some feedback on)? I get the following messages each time (for .png and .jpg extensions) "There was a problem uploading your image. Make sure your image ends with .jpg, .jpeg or .png." It is displaying the images

Novartis Stalevo info (technical)
I know someone posted some technical info around L-dopa absorption rates somewhere...can I find it now? Can I heck as like...it might not even have been on this forum now I think about it.... Anyways...I've found some of my own on Stalevo. Be warned it's 26 pages of fairly dense statistics, chemistry

Slow or normal L-DOPA?
I just wanted a very quick straw poll...which sort of L-Dopa works better for you; slow release, normal release, or a mix of both? I used to do best on all slow, but these days a 50:50 mix seems best.
