Grapefruit juice has an effect. Apparently lemon does too:

" lemon juice significantly inhibits by 60+/-3% the CYP3A4-mediated oxidation. Grapefruit juice inhibits this activity by 82+/-4%. The mechanism of lemon juice inhibition is competitive, whereas it is mixed for grapefruit juice."

The problem is that this affects many other drugs too; leading to increasing their potency, possibly to too high a level.

I tried for some time to swallow Levodopa with lemon juice, but I didn't notice an extension of the "On". I also decided to stop because I had to deal with the nausea caused by ingesting the juice on a empty stomach.
