NHS blood results from gastro appointment
I yesterday saw my rhuematologist and he printed off my blood test results that were ordered at my gastroenterology appointment. Unfortunatley, no T3/FT3 result. For reference my previous medicheck test from March was: THS 2.53 (0.27-4.20) Free thyroxine 16.25 (12-22) Total thyroxine (T4) 90 (59-154

Very high blood cortisol result. Please help :-(
I have been ill for 18 months with fatigue, weakness, dizziness on and off... thyroid was found out of range (underactive) and I have been on thyroxine for 13 months. Recent results showed TSH was 1.7, FT4 19 and FT3 5. Results yesterday showed TSH had gone up to 3.4 and FT4 17.4. So I need to speak

Low cortisol
I have been advised to post low cortisol results because I am starting Levothyroxine 25mcg and I should not be starting it if I have low cortisol? This short synacthen test was done 4 years ago, does this need to be repeated? At the time I had dizziness when standing from sitting, low weight and dark

Low cortisol
Hi my bloods came back with low cortisol and this would explain all of my symptoms I've been having from what I'm reading, I'm having an atch and synacthen test tomorrow morning. My gp sent me for an unrelated MRI recently as I was having symptoms that she thought was neuro or thyroid - the MRI showed

Crazy temperature problems
Hi everyone, hoping I can get some ideas about what's going on with my thermostat. As background, I've fairly recently starting self medicating with lowish dose T3, but the following has been going on since before I started: When I exercise, I always get way too hot, way too quickly - but my temperature

Very Low Cortisol Test Results
Hello Fellow Sufferers, I have this afternoon received the results of The Regenerist Saliva Cortisol,Test . All 4 levels have come back extremely low . Virtually at the very bottom of the scale . I am unsure what this means in relation to the thyroid or what I should do about this . I have forwarded

T3 Only Users Advice
Hello, I have posted a few times here and have always received great advice. I am struggling a lot with my treatment. I switched to T3 only but reacted poorly to the fillers in Cytomel (combined with being under medicated). I had to switch back to NDT, which I also do not feel well on, more weight

Some info on cortisol.
Read an interesting article today, thought I'd post basics. Link at the bottom for whole article. *Must get results from Saliva testing not blood. High cortisol can block the conversion of T4 to T3, favoring conversion to RT3 and putting you further into a hypothyroid state. Both high cortisol and low

Bewildered by tests - any suggestions?
Over the last 3 years I have been suffering from exhaustion following a viral disease diagnosed as shingles. I have also slowly but steadily lost weight despite progressively eating more (50% more than NHS thinks I need to eat to maintain my weight) and I am now about 5kg underweight. Blood tests (

Low cortisol morning
Hello, I got Dutch test done and it showed Low cortisol in the morning. Higher in the evening. I feel so tired specially mornings. Could raising my Ferritin help with cortisol levels? Or taking Melatonin supplement?

Hypo patient with low cortisol
On 25mcg of levothyroxine and 10mcg of T3: I am close to coming off it and on a special medical based diet: no autoimmune disease however, I got low cortisol levels due to environmental and personal circumstances.... I found out my condition is dietary and my kidneys are the root cause of my condition

Rhodiola Rosea
Does anyone take Rhodiola Rosea, which is said to balance cortisol levels thru the day? I have very low cortisol in the morning and too high at night. I bought Swanson 400mg and it just says take 1 capsule 1 or 2 times per day with water. So do I take 1 in the morning to give me energy and hope this

Labs say normal?
Hi, new here and a bit confused by the results of a recent lab test. It said that it was all in the normal range and it was (some were low normal though). I also have been diagnosed with very low cortisol in an adrenal profile that I had done earlier in the year. I'm just surprised that my numbers would
