Hi! I've developed an itchy rash / dermatitis while taking Leflunomide and Cimzia (Certolizumab-Pegol) anti-tnf in combination for 10 mths.
Stopped Cimzia to see if it clears - been on
Leflunomide
for 6 years, no problems. Rash very slowly clearing. Will have to re-try Cimzia to see if it reappears I guess! Have told GP and RA Consultant. Anyone else experienced this? thanks!

Another plea for abatacept experience
I had always maintained my RA with NSAIDs with the occasional cortisone jab, but in the last four years, I have tried embrel,
leflunomide
, toxillizumab and now abatacept.

Couldn't take
Leflunomide
either because it raises Blood Pressur e and I have high B.P. Was given steroid injection but a few days later (early March) had a seizure which my GP said was steroid induced. He said I won't have another seizure once steroid goes out of my system.

How do I now up the anti tnf question ? (if you pardon the pun)
I was put on mtx several months later, slowly (I think too slowly) and I've recently been given
leflunomide
which I now take with 20mgs mtx. My issue is that although I'm not in direct pain, my joints are most often swollen and my feet and hands are most always tingling.

Hydroxy/ Plaquenil or Leflunomide/ Arava in combination with 15mgs MTX that is the question?
Worried about my eyes with the Hydroxy - has anyone tried both at different times with MTX and if so which seemed the better combination?

My Rheumatologist will only give tentative diagnoses AFTER 4 YEARS attending his clinic. I have Sarcoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia & Chronic
I have tried
Leflunomide
, Methotrexate but could not tolerate them now he proposes Hydroxychloroquine which I am about to undertake. Is this just hit-or-miss Cookery Book Medicine?

I am comng off Leflunomide and the plan is to begin Enbrel Self Injection. Has anyone any comments about Enbrel...pro or con?
I saw my RA doctor yesterday and she began the tests required to qualify me for Enbrel...TB test, Hepatitus, etc. Also, she has to check with Medicare and my supplement insurance to find out if there are any restrictions related to my taking Enbrel, such as frequency of dosage etc. I am hoping my hair

Drug free time but not pain free!
Was put on
Leflunomide
before Christmas didn't suit so was told to stop it, was on Sulfasalazine before which started to fail, now have not been on anything until last Thursday when went back onto Methotrexate, which will obviously take a while to 'kick in'.

Side effects of Leflunomide
I was reluctant to start on
Leflunomide
as the side effects looked horrendous and the most worrying thing was the possibility of raising my blood pressure, already on medication to control high blood pressure.

Right now it is methotrexate, plaquenil,
leflunomide
and steroids. I have not been able to work now for almost two years. I am in total awe of anyone with RA still working.

Just when you think things are on the up ...
July 25th Got my Methotrexate back last month, restarted on 7.5mg, and stopped the
Leflunomide
which didn’t seem to be doing anything anyway.

My Living Rheum :)
I have
Leflunomide
added to the mix and now I wait … I will have to live with the joint damage caused by years of relatively uncontrolled disease. Some of that can be repaired by surgery.
