I am on Leflunomide and Anti -TNF, for 2 months now, I still get regular flare ups and I am sooo tired all the time. I feel like the Rheumy Nurse/Rheumy (new one just appointed) don't take me seriously!! My muscles all hurt to as a side effect of the Leflunomide, does anyone have the same?

Hi anun I have been on leflunomide for 3 months & still struggle with swelling,pain & extreme tiredness. I have been told by my Rheumy nurse/consultant that it will take at least 4to 6 months for me to feel the benefit of this drug. I hope you can talk to someone you trust about the way you feel, perhaps GP? Take care of yourself. Love Alison xx

Thanks, I have an appointment this week with the nurse so fingers crossed it goes well.

Ask the nurse if there is any possibility that you are having a hypersensitivity reaction to the drug - that kind of aching and "flu-like" feeling can be a sign of a reaction, and if so, you would need to stop the drug and try something else.
