Laparoscopy

Following the laparoscopy, I was provided a discharge letter which stated I had adhesions of ascending colon to side wall which it states adhesiolysis to ascending colon was undertaken. However, it stated no evidence of endometriosis seen at laparoscopy.

At present my blood level (Lft) are fine, but platelet 130, in this situation, any risk issue of gallbladder surgery regarding gallstone (9mm) by laparoscopy? Advance thanks for your valuable suggestion/opinion.

I’m really hoping they won’t push back on my request as the consultant I seen previously said a laparoscopy would be the next step if the IUD didn’t help but unfortunately he does not accept Vitality.

I’ve been had a laparoscopy which showed fluids in my pelvis and adhesions which were treated. The pain got worse and over the last five years has become chronic. I had a scan two years after my laparoscopy which showed my fallopian tube was enlarged with fluid.

She was due to have a laparoscopy but this is now on hold. The hospital are not convinced it will help . I don't know how to help my daughter or to get people to listen .

I had my laporoscopy yesterday and they found endometriosis scattered everywhere. I feel so much relief from having answers for my symptoms but obviously it's bittersweet as now I have to come to terms with having this condition. I am due for my laparoscopy for an endo diagnosis next week. I’m just curious if it makes a difference at what point in your cycle your at as to whether your condition is more noticeable/diagnosable.

Assuming a lot of people have trialled the pill/coil and then still ended up going for a laparoscopy? And did you still have endo flares? Thanks!

I looked into the background of the consultant who would carry out the operation and was reassured to find that he was experienced in laparoscopy.

hi all, I had my laparoscopy on 17th July this year and my pain never went. I’m now almost 4 months post op and my pain has been getting worse for the past few weeks, to the point I’ve had to start taking oramorph again. The pain seems to be more severe than pre op, affecting my legs even more now.

I have an excision laparoscopy scheduled for 21st October. I am stage 4 with a cyst on either ovary (4cm and 5cm), adhesions, kissing ovaries and hydrosalpinx in one of my tubes. My surgeon is hoping to go in and remove a lot of the endo, unstick my ovaries and remove the tube with hydrosalpinx.

hi all, I have recently had an MRI that shows possible endo on/near my uterus. My consultant is pushing for a lap, but I am unsure whether to postpone this as we would like to start TTC in the new year. I’m concerned that having the lap before could throw my cycle out of wack (although very painful

However the doctor i had it with basically said that regardless if i have an MRI or a diagnostic laparoscopy that theres a 90% chance itll show nothing due to my ultrasounds not showing anything. Ive had period cramps as well as "flare ups" since i was 14/15 im 21 now.

I finally have my laparoscopy tomorrow after it being cancelled two months ago. Does anyone have any last minute tips or tricks for pre and post surgery? And can anyone explain a little bit more about what happens when you get to the hospital and the process after that?

Hello - I'm wondering if anyone can help me figure something out about my laparoscopy. I have my first surgery to diagnose endometriosis in July after being referred last year for extreme pain during bleeds. My worry is that I haven't had a period since last September.

I have been offered it as a last resort, after my second laparoscopy they don’t really want to continue with surgeries so they have offered me the injections but the side affects are scary I haven’t seen much about them so I am skeptical too

I will hopefully be having a laparoscopy to remove cysts from both ovaries and unstick my ovaries, (currently they are kissing) in the next few months. I am also hopefully starting fertility treatment through the NHS soon.... my first appointment is at the end of september.

Long story short, I’ve been diagnosed with endo two years ago, when I had a laparoscopy and they found endometriosis on my left ovaries (they found it damaged), on my colon and on my uterus.
