I will hopefully be having a laparoscopy to remove cysts from both ovaries and unstick my ovaries, (currently they are kissing) in the next few months. I am also hopefully starting fertility treatment through the NHS soon.... my first appointment is at the end of september. Just wondering how long after my op I would be ok to start ivf? Has anyone any experience of this?

How long after laparoscopy to have ivf?
Hey my surgeon recommended starting IVF again 6 weeks after my laparoscopy, which was specifically aimed at improving IVF results. It ended up being about 2 months with the Christmas period and that round was unsuccessful but I did another round about 4 months later which was successful so I do wonder if the fact that my body had more recovery time and more natural cycles in between contributed! But I was so impatient to start IVF straight after my surgery. Best of luck with your surgery, hope it goes really well x
So glad to hear you had a successful round! My first round was terrible. Both the eggs they managed to collect died the next day. I was told they were discoloured, most likely due to endo. Congratulations on your pregnancy. I hope it all goes well 🙂 gives me hope!
Thank you! Its such a long and difficult journey, I'm glad it gives you hope. It took me 4 rounds and the laparoscopy before I was successful so I know how frustrating it can be, but it definitely can happen even with Stage 4 Endo. Having a good clinic on my side with new protocol/medication ideas helped too. Sending lots of support and positive vibes your way for a successful surgery and IVF treatment ✨❤️
I would listen to the advice of your consultant as they probably know.
After my lap my consultant said for us to start trying 3 months after my lap as it will have given my body a chnace to heal on the inside. I know this isn’t ivf but it does take a little while to heal on the inside and inflammation to go down
