Blue Monday? Nah.
Sunday was a day of unadulterated rest! So out today to stretch the meter and on with the January Quest - to make 8k comfortably en route to an anniversary, aspirational 10 k somewhere in March/April. So set the meter at 7.5 k with the option to run on. Cold but essentially dry save for some big puddles

Pain coming back after surgery?!
My 1st
laparoscopy
Sep 2020 helped my pain for about 5/6 months then it came back with a vengeance. I had my 2nd
laparoscopy
Jan 2022 and since then I have felt great, I was a walking pain advert beforehand! I had what felt like pelvic and stomach pain right around to my lower back aswell.

I’m in so much pain and feeling desperate
diagnosis was confirmed through a
laparoscopy
, and my symptoms and pain improved enormously after surgery but 6 months later it all started to come back. Fast forward 2 years and they now tell me I have chronic pain in my lower back and pelvic area, I have had no further tests, scans or surgery.

Day 1 Lap Recovery
Hi everyone, I had my first
laparoscopy
yesterday and as suspected they found endometriosis. I’ve been waiting a long time for this diagnosis so I’m really pleased that I have an answer.

Do Recovery Runs Work?
This was a week2 NRC HM programme 35 minute recovery run with “head space”. That wouldn’t be an attention grabbing title for me usually, but I thought that I should give every part of the programme a whirl. Unless it is part of a nice Italian meal, or brie parcelled up with bacon and cranberry, cheese

12cm tumour fit through a Laporoscopy?
Surely there is more chance of it rupturing during a
laparoscopy
and spilling cancer cells everywhere? Please let me know if anyone has any advice. Thanks everyone

How long have people been waiting for a laparoscopy?
I was referred in June 2022 for a diagnostic
laparoscopy
and I am still on a bloody waiting list. It has been 7 months! I understand the NHS is under pressure and I'm not blaming the staff as they are working hard to help everyone but I haven't even had a pre-op assessment or anything!

Testing your drug, app or therapy
You've synthesized your drug, you've written your app or or described your therapy, now what? Test! Some years ago I wrote an app which enables you to get side to side tap test scores. Working on a lap top, it measures the number of times you can type q followed by p, using first just the index finger

Any advice on post-op pain management?
I’ve just joined this community after having my first
laparoscopy
yesterday. I have been diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis and I’ve had cyst removals. Any advice on how to manage the pain and discomfort of the post-op would be greatly appreciated!

Undecided whether to have another surgery or try medical treatment
Hello, I have recently been diagnosed with Mild Endometriosis after a
laparoscopy
in June to remove a cyst found Endo on my urethera. The surgeon that did the initial
laparoscopy
said she didn’t not want to attempt excision due to where it was and did not want to risk damaging my organs.

10 miles of "Timid not Tough" or how I avoided the "Puddle of Doom"
The weather gods were kinder for Sunday's 10 miler on the Temple Newsam Estate than past years. The race has been going for about seven years hosted by the very lovely St Theresa's Athletic Club (STAC) and the conditions in the past have been on occasions pretty brutal. It consequently attracts a lot

Pad problems post laproscopy cysectomy
I have my lap 2 weeks okay and started my period on Wednesday (4 days earlier than I was due on) my consultant said no tampons for my first period but the pads are rubbing so much and making me sore. I'm 27 and suffer from bad anxiety so the fear of smelling and everything around periods causes me so

What now?
So I had my post surgery appointment with my specialist a few weeks ago, I've been trying to digest what he said...but honestly I feel so deflated and like I'm going in circles. My hospital is BSGE registered, and there's only 1 other hospital that is BSGE in my region, so I feel stuck. Basically he
