Pleased to report the lump has left the building...đź‘Ťđź‘Ť
Following a month or so of anxiety over my neck lump and the implications re lung transplant etc.. i am delighted to report the offending item is no longer and as a few of you kind souls suggested it was probably a cyst . Anyway, starting the Nintedinab soon as i opted for this over the Pirfenidone for

Only water fasting after renal transplantation. How long is safe?
Has anybody done only water fasting for over 24 hours after
kidney
transplant
? I had done 7-8 days of only water fasting prior to KT and now have been doing IF of 20/4. I’m also a vegan of 16 years. Is long period of fasting on water safe for renal transplant recipients on immunosuppressive meds?

Vaccine, kidney transplant receiver and immunosuppresants
He had a successful
kidney
transplant
about 6 years ago. He takes immunosuppresants (Azathioprine) and has been offered a vaccine. Have anyone you post kidney transplantees that take immunosuppresants had the vaccine? If so, which one have you had? Were you recommended one by your specialist?

Long-term effects of ibrutinib on blood pressure in patients with CLL
It seems that the hypertension ( HTN) seen by patients being treated with Ibrutinib continues to rise year on year with treatment. At 5 years 74% of patients experienced an increase in Systolic Blood Pressure of ≥10 which is a huge number of patients. This hypertension is also often difficult to

Results of COVID-19 Antibody Testing
My understanding is that past experience with vaccines is that they are still helpful in
Kidney
Transplant
/Dialysis patients even if the antibody reponse is not detectable or very low.

Hi everyone, just found this site through the NHS app. Had cancer twice, had chemo plus stem cell transplant. I've been left with knee problems due to Lymphoma and have to use a stroller and wheelchair. The treatment I've had has led to a deep depression and anxiety as I no longer have my independence

Cancer 'power failure' stops the spread of tumor cells
Sirturo, targeted the fuel supply of cancer cells and blocked metastasis by nearly 85%. The drug had no effects on normal cells, thereby minimizing side-effects. It found that treatment with Sirturo caused a 'power failure," but only in cancer cells. Sirturo is already FDA-approved, with these findings

Kidney Swelling with Cirrhosis?
Hello Friends, My hubby was diagnosed with cirrhosis at the end of 2019. Today his ultrasound showed a swollen kidney, with the technician asking him twice if he was sure he didn’t need to wee 🙄. Wondering if anyone has experienced this and what it could be. My googling suggests hydronephrosis perhaps

NHS Organ Donation - Erin’s story
I saw this story over on the “Children’s Liver Disease Foundation” site this morning and thought it might be nice to share. If anything this should be a message of hope for all those suffering from anxiety and worrying about their liver condition. Ten-year-old Erin has just celebrated her tenth transplant

HI. I'm looking to chat with people who have had kidney transplants to find out about what it was like from pre-op to surgery to recovery to life after transplant. Thanks.

My appointment for a Colonoscopy.
I took the first dose of Moviprep Wednesday after having a CT scan. It was a introduction to Dysentry. I had a hell of a time with explosive episodes that ruined the carpet in the downstairs loo. I took the second dose Thursday morning hoping it might clean my bowels out and start looking clearer. It
