Lupus Nephritis and Cyclophosphamide
Hi all, This is my first post here although I've been on this forum for a while. I'm 23 and got diagnosed with SLE and lupus nephritis a year ago in March. I've never had the nephritis treated until recently however. I take 400mg hydroxychloroquine (I should take 300mg based on weight though) and have

Hi, I am new to this forum so it is nice to meet you all. Just have a quick question, I have had an ultrasound and found to have a fatty liver (falls just inside acceptable apparently) and a simple cyst. I only found out this from the nurse as I had gone to see her about something else. My GP now

New here
Hi, I was diagnosed with Primary Peritoneal Cancer stage 4b Sept 2020 my Ca125 was 1640. I also had 2 drains for fluid in the abdomen. After 3 rounds of carboTaxol I responded well enough for debulking surgery on Xmas eve. This was successful and in Feb 2021 my scan showed NED, was then put on a maintenance

The Queens first steps inside the Dialysis Center
Hi everyone. I went to dialysis education yesterday. It was the very first time I went inside a building I have past a million times knowing it was where people got dialysis. Going in I felt a wealth of emotions none greater than sadness. It felt suffocating and surreal to be honest. Me and my mom

🥱🥱🥱 and sleep!
Hi guys. I have just had a liver transplant and I am struggling to sleep. I seem to wake every 4 hours and cat nap when fatigue kicks in. I have a fare idea that it is the medication. I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do without taking sleeping tablets. Can I just say, I'm taking vitamin

Bone marrow transplant
Hello, I am 60 years old. I have been struggling with AMN for over 35 years. I am wheelchair bound, but can still stand. My symptoms have been stable for many years. In a few weeks, I will be getting my first MRI in 30 years. I am afraid if the results are poor, I will have to get bone marrow transplant

Why do others think I'm stupid for helping our family member
Hello I have a brother in the hospital recovering from covid thank God he will make a good recovery he's only allowed 1 visitor for 1 hour everyday. I went to see our brother to just try & spend some time with him his wife beat me to it a few minutes earlier. He's going to require dialysis I think twice

Oxygen user and covid antivirals
Hi hope you’re well. My parents are staying with me, dad tested positive with covid yesterday. He’s doing really well a little coughing now and again so pretty mild. So far my lft are negative however I’ve made enquiries and my consultant doesn’t think I’d be eligible for antivirals if I test positive

What to do when dad gets home from hospital
My dad 79 and a veteran, just started kidney dialysis in the hospital. I live an hour and I am hoping they can setup rides to dialysis when he gets home. I am worried about his new diet plan. Because of my health I can only get there once a week. Any tips are appreciated. I am new to this, and I am

Yellow skin under eyes?
Are there any causes of slightly yellow skin under your eyes when pregnant besides jaundice/cholestasis? Apart from slightly itchy skin on my bump and being tired (which could just be normal), I don't really have any other symptoms of anything. I'm going to try to get through to the midwife to ask anyway

Newly-discovered Micro-Mets: What would you do?
Recent (my first) PSMA Pylarify scan shows I've acquired 9-10 tiny lymph node metastases scattered in the common iliac, mediastinal, and left supraclavicular regions of my body. I'm still hormone-sensitive, but would prefer not to go back on ADT if possible (history of heart concerns). Area radiation
