I’m 73 and been feeling extra tired recently, otherwise fit and well. I thought the tiredness might be caused by Keppra a drug I take for epilepsy, I’m also on statins … but anyway the GP did a blood test, the Serum Alanine transaminase was ‘out of range’ at 54 u/l. I’ve always been a drinker but stick

New mum with epilepsy
hi everyone. I was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2006 and had treatment for a brain AVM in 2007. I started with tonic clonic seizures in 2006 but was put on carbamazepine and ever since then I only had focal aware seizures. I changed medication to keppra about 2 years ago to be safer for pregnancy and I

TLE and weakness
I have temporal lobe epilepsy, shrunken hippocampus and mesial temporal sclerosis, all on the right side of my brain. Would this the cause of weakness in my right leg? Also I've noticed lately, that this bitterly cold weather seems to affect my right side. Awaiting a report from a recent mri (19th Nov

Focalin comedown
My son (11) has been on Focalin XR for about 2 months (5mg the first month - no effect, and now 10mg). We've noticed that around 7pm, he often can get super down and sad. It's not every night, but it's at least a couple times a week. Sometimes he can identify something bothering him, but other times

Side effects of Adderall XR
Has anyone else developed a sore throat or cough on Adderall XR? If so does regular Adderall have the same effect. I’ve recently (about 4-5 months ago) started ADHD meds after being off for about 8 years. I suffer from EDS (excessive daytime sleepiness) in addition to ADHD of the primarily inattentive

Meds for DMDD & ADHD
My son was recently diagnosed with DMDD along with his ADHD last week. I was wondering if any parents here have their kids on any medications for both disorders? So far his psychiatrist only prescribed him with Quillivant XR. we haven’t started medicating him yet because we’re waiting for authorization

What To Do Next?
Hi Friends, First post here, although I've come back to this forum a few times. I'm at a spot where, even though I know it's untrue, I feel like I'm experiencing anxiety like no one has ever experienced it before (we all know the lonely feeling). I've been dealing with this for about a year an a half

Exhausted..
Good morning, New member & I have seen more helpful information here than I’ve been able to find anywhere else! To start, my son is 6 and we have started the medication journey & it’s been nothing short of eventful. Focalin XR low dose increased to 15 mg and then 5 mg at lunch, worked for a week and

Epilim and folate / change to lamotrigine ?
I was put on Epilim in my teens. Some years later, I became symptom free, and I was unmedicated for 10 years. I had to go back on Epilim Chrono five years ago - which may have been triggered by my thyroid problems. I’ve been on the thyroid forum, where it transpires that I am short on folate. A quick

Cenobamate experience
After an increase in seizure frequency my consultant is talking about changing me from keppra + lamotragine to Keppra + Cenobamate. The only review I can find of Cenobamate are on drugs.com. It does tend to attract negative reviews. The consensus seems to be that it works for epilepsy, but the side

Keppra increases
Started on 250mg. keppra tonight after failing clonodine quickly (leg cramps and increased blood pressure did in that one). 250mg isn't enough, at least tonight, and I am wondering how quickly I should increase. Doc says I can go up to 750mg. and I have a terrible time with tolerating medicines. Any
