Has anyone got Pagets disease
I have an underactive thyroid and for the last few years I have had high alkaline phosphatase in my blood. They always thought that was because I had low vitamin D I was given vitamin D supplements but they never increased my vitamin d level, I finally decided to take sublingual vit d plus vitamin

Is anyone taking vitamin K2 helping gait and balance?
My name is Laura, currently 53 ( diagnosed Parkinson’s at 45). My major symptoms are gait and balance issues, along with difficulty of movement. Recently I have learned that vitamin K2 may help Parkinson’s, I started taking MK4, since 98% of vitamin k in the brain are MK4. My experience is mixed. On

Palpitations getting worse!
Carrying on from my last post, which also had my last results, my palpitations are getting worse. Nighttime I wake up with them and feeling as though I’ve been startled awake, feel very rough, upset stomach, headache, all joints hurt and feel weak. The last week have had more incidents of tinnitus

Advice appreciated :)
Hi everyone again, hope you are all well :) Here are my latest results after increasing my levo dose from 100 to 111 (100 4xweek and 125 3xweek). I got a big change in numbers. I´m sleeping now. Gluten free diet for three months now, trying to improve ferritin which was 27, although doing that on

Chapter 17. I dream of the revolution that must come... 2/2.
This is chapter 17 of a book I published in 2015, "A Different Way of Looking at Parkinson's. Almost 20 years of experience with my father's disease (1994-2012)" (only in Spanish). Although we have learned a lot more since that year, I think it can still be useful to most sufferers and family members

Vitamin K
This is in response to some who replied to "Blood Thinners" (middlejoel). Vitamin K does not "cause" blood to clot. Sure, the "K" stands for "Koagulation" (German), but that is because vitamin K is essential for normal clotting. It is not safe to be vitamin K deficient. K is essential

Blood thinners
I am taking 3 meds that could be considered blood thinners....Eliquis: Nattokiness, and Vitamin K. I also take Taurine and Arginine. My question is...can I eliminate Eliquis and keep Natto? I take the meds because I have been found to have A-fib. A few years ago, Nalakrats wrote a great article about

Supplements and Radiation Therapy
I am 69 and was diagnosed approximately 4 months ago with locally advanced Ductal Adenocarcinoma of the Prostate, Gleason 8, with seminal vessel involvement. I've been on Eligard for 3 months and had blood tests yesterday but I don't have any results to share yet. I also had a CT SIM yesterday in preparation

Clopidrogel and vitamins
Is it safe to take vitamin k2 with Clopidrogel? Does Vit k2 affect clotting like Vit K1 does? I know you have to be careful with Vit k with warfin. I take k2 with my Vit D3 & magnesium ... I thought Vit k2 was essential for getting calcium into the bones. But don’t want to take it if it is going to

ADVICE NEEDED 1
Hi Fellow sufferers. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in December 2017. Like most on here, it has been an uphill struggle getting anywhere with the doctor. They prescribe Levothyroxine then send you away as if that’s problem solved. You go back time and time again saying you don’t feel any better

Bacillus subtillus vs Alpha synuclein
Hi everyone, for those that prefer eating supplements as food I have just found out that the Korean food Natto (fermented soybeans) is very high in the probiotic Bacillus subtillus. This probiotic kills off the nasty alpha synuclein (which travels up to the brain and misfolds neurons which then becomes

Vitamin K and D
Hi, I've been supplementing vitamin D for a while (before the pandemic) and have added vitamin K. Because I had a lot of vitamin D tablets to use up, I bought vitamin K separately. I'm not sure however how much is safe or appropriate to take. The ones I have are 100mcg which seems like a lot. I've been

4 weeks after adding t3. Lab results. What to do now?
I was supposed to wait 6 weeks until testing but I’ve got an email from my dr saying they are closing for a month on Wednesday (16th of December) so I felt I needed to go to check my levels before. I went this morning so unfortunately I took my last dose of T4 and T3 26 hours before testing ( not 8-

Slowly doing a Christmas bingo tick recovery 5K 🎶🎄🎅
Felt like I needed to run a slow 5K today just to keep the legs moving after a stressful late night working led to problems getting to sleep, I'm tired today 😴... so I set off with coach Bennett's cold run and Michael Bublé's Christmas as background music 😁 I sang along to Santa Claus is Coming to

Sudden onset RLS
