Anyone know where I can get the following Blood tests done?
Hello All, Trust you are all doing well. Just trying to find somewhere that offer the ANTI-SPERM ANTIBODY (FEMALE PARTNER) & ANTI-DNA Blood Tests? My Clinic dont offer these and struggling to find somewhere that does. Really wanting these tests done as heard they can impact re-occurring failed implantation

When should I tell me manager I'm pregnant
I want to wait until 12 weeks before telling anybody I am pregnant, but I work with complex, vulnerable individuals, often lone-working, and am not sure whether I should tell my manager earlier than 12 weeks. We have had a lot of ups and downs with IVF and so I am feeling anxious about sharing the news

Update - pinning all our hopes on one embryo
Thanks for all your well wishes. We started with 5 eggs, which dwindled down to 2 embryos by day 3. As you know, we requested for a day 3 single embryo transfer against clinic advice. Well, it looks like my remaining embryo did not make it to blastocyst. We just got the call. My clinic feels that

Nailfold infection
I have my second nailfold infection in 2 months - it is proving difficult to resolve and a few days ago a telangectasia bled profusely for no reason. Is this connected to my Systemic Sclerosis or just a coincident. Thanks for any thoughts on this.

Hi, I've recently been diagnosed with Gilbert's syndrome/disease. It was picked up via blood tests. I'm waiting to have a liver scan but the GP hasn't come up with any other plan. My main question at the minute is does anyone suffer with itching. Its not put down as one of the main symptoms but it's

Infection back again.
Been out of hospital for a week now after pneumonia and finding out I have a heart problem now. Ejection Fraction. Never heard of it before. Anyway, got home, started new meds for heart and now chest infection back. Feeling rather sorry for myself it's been ongoing about 9 weeks. I do like this forum

Dental work and alendronate
I need a tooth extraction after a tooth has completely collapsed and became infected. The dentist has tried root canal treatment with the hope of adding a crown but it is still infected in the gum and he says it must come out due to a sepsis risk. He sent me to my consultant for permission as I have

Living Hell
I first experienced RLS about 1982. I had no idea what was wrong with me so I just put it down to some sort of allergy. As the attacks were quite intermittent, I didn't seek any help at the time. After about a year though. The frequency and severity of the attacks increased manyfold and was now causing

I have tried everything ! After years on Pramipexol I augmented but was persuaded by a neurologist (against my better judgement) to try Ropinerol - guess what - augmentation. After weaning off it I was so looking forward to relief from Pregabalin - no relief just horrendous brain fog. Gabapentin - no

Changing opiods
I have severe restless legs and have suffered for many years Recently I came off pramipexole, after augmentation. I am now on Targin 40 mg daily, 15mg at 2pm and 25mg at 8pm. I still suffer from restless legs early in the morning, however it is far less intense. Having read many comments re the benefits

RLS and augmentation – the battle for sufficient treatment.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who has answered and advised me - both on inquiries regarding switch from pramipexole to pregabalin and experiences of treating RLS with morphine only. It has been a BIG help - thanks to you, my doctor has for the time being agreed to give me a small dose of morphine while

Ibuprofen gel/cream
Morning, all. I don't take ibuprofen tablets for pain because of my GCAPMR plus IBS. I know it's not a good idea on preds. Could I use the gel on my neck, though? Or would that find its way into blood or stomach? Paracetamol does very little. Dihydrocodeine is highly effective, but I limit that as it

Thinking of switching to Gabapentin or Pregabalin
I had an absolutely horrible night last night. I take 2mg of Ropinirole but took an extra one last night. It's very ineffective and causes me all sorts of weird problems like confusion and cursing in a kind of semi-conscious daze. Which is best, Gabapentin or Pregabalin, and how much would I have to
