Possible Endo? Not sure
Hi, i'm hoping someone can help or has had anything similar. About 18 months ago i had a 16cm Dermoid cyst removed from my right ovary and another smaller one on my left removed. For the past 10 months i've been in constant pain, missing periods and heavy ones lasting for about 14 days all with shooting

Unsure if I should have a laparoscopy
Hi, I have an operation date for a laparoscopy but I can't decide if this is something I should do or not. I have suffered from heavy bleeding and pain for 9 years since I had children. I am worried that they might damage my bladder or bowel and I will be worse off than I am now. I have endometriosis

Latest blood tests - help with results please
Hi, I've been feeling very unwell recently with bad fatigue, headaches, swollen and sore feet. I've had thrush 3 times in the last month too. I've been on NDT (Erfa) for 8 weeks now (starting on 30mg and increased recently to 45mg) along with 25mg Levothyroxine. Before this, I was on 50mg Levothyroxine

Agony following swab!
Sorry to post again but I don’t know what to do! I went to GP this morning as significant increase in pain over the last two weeks, feeling like I’m being stabbed up inside with pain extending down my inner thigh. I asked her to check coil (inserted 5mths ago) and said it looked fine despite a lot

Entresto and dizzyness
Mitchell had his ICD fitted last week and all went well, What i would like to ask members is He started Entresto on a low starter dose of 24mg/26mg today he has been really dizzy, By that i mean when he gets up from the armchair and walks 10 steps or so, I think it is a BP drop that is causing this

New Surgical Technology
This may be of interest, especially to those contemplating post-radiation salvage treatment (as well as those contemplating primary treatment). Seems to me this could address one of the issues with HIFU -- the cooling coil should allow more energy to be directed toward killing the cancer with less

Excersize during 2WW?
So we had our first medicated IUI on Saturday and I have read lots of conflicting information on excersize during this time. I am usually really active and go to the gym, do weight classes/bootcamp and spinning. The though of not doing this is filling me with dread (I do it for my mind aswell as trying

Coil trouble
Hello all, I'm just wondering other peoples opinions and experiences with the coil as a treatment for Endo? I had mine fitted in February when I had my diagnostic lap as the doctor said it was the best available treatment currently! It has helped massively with my bleeding as I am now only having spotting

I still get 'flutters' with my ICD, do you?
Hi all, I had a combined PM/ICD fitted in August. I am very fit and the whole episode has knocked me for 6. The Bisoprolol controls the flutters/palpitations 99% of the time, but very occasionally I get the odd 3 - 5 second burst of these, and then I start to worry. My cardiologist says, 'get on with

My discontinued miracle pill
So, I was diagnosed in 2005 (laparoscopy) endo in pouch of Douglas. Struggled until 2009 when I was put on loestrin 30. Pain free sympstoms for 10 wonderful years ( bowels always very very loose but no pain) until 1st Sept this year when I learnt that this wonderful pill has been discontinued. Now on

Airports and ICDs
Well after heart attack/cardiac arrest and finally ICD fitted in August, I finally managed to squeeze in a week away in sunny Tenerife. First of all it's a new experience going on holiday with enough medical supplies to keep a small village going, then there's the new experience of going through airport

Coil it go straight for a laparoscopy?
Hi everyone. I'm completely new to this and after some much needed advice. I've recently been told by the GP that I'm likely to have endometriosis. I am due to have the coil fitted in order to hopefully help ease the symptoms I am experiencing. However the GP offered to refer me for a laparoscopy buy
