Pain 10 months post surgery

So i had surgery in january and all the endo was excised and the coil was put in. I'm still getting daily pain but more like sharp horrible pain for like 5ish mins at random points of the day so i can't really control it. Got my follow up appointment with the surgeon in may next year and my gp wants to put me on the pill to help pain after my swabs come back negative. Long winded background sorry! Has anyone else had this?! Did the pill help? Want to know more about the menopause treatment? Or just any advice in general! X
